I could probably do something like that myself, as I do have the tools for it, but too lazy/cheap to get the rest of the equipment in order for me to record it easily, and I'm still trying to figure out how I was able to encode something at 60fps. -_-

Also, if the game records your playtime at 100 hours, you get another achievement. =\

That's okay. Considering that I live in a different time zone from the most of the people in this thread, I'm actually surprised I was able to play with one of you guys at all.

Shuji Sogabe (main character designer for this game) has a two-page section for in the How to Art section in this month's Newtype USA, which was a pleasant surprise for me because I bought that issue for the Aoi Nanase section.

I suggest you get a copy now.

Gosh darn it. Right when I start working on revising my English guide, I stumble into this. And they're well-made, but the explanations are in Japanese.

I'll need to look into those videos a little bit more later. It's almost 3AM over here. -_-

New content up on the Japanese MP.

Themes, Costumes (Arcade SP and School) etc.

Sounds cool, I'm always a sucker for wasting good money on themes. Any gamerpics?

                  There are gamerpics too, however...

Everything is up on the JPN side so you have to use your JPN profile. This means everything you have to pay for you need to get MS points, and from what I can tell points are region locked!!

If you don't have CC details in for your JPN profile (as I think most people won't) You have to get a hold of JPN region points.

At least this is my understanding...Can anyone clarify?

Just remembered that myself five minutes ago when I signed on with my Japanese account and thought "Hang on... I don't have any points on my Japanese account!!!"

I think you can get a Japanese points card from Play Asia, but then you'd have to wait a week for it to arrive. The also list the region for the card as Asian, not Japanese, so I don't know if it would work with a Japanese account. Has anyone ordered a points card from Play Asia?

Now I wish I'd picked up a few points cards when I was in Tokyo in September!

I wonder if you can use a UK credit card with a Japanese account, or does the credit card have to be Japanese as well? I'll have to have a look when I finish work, I want those themes!!

Went online with my Japanese silver account at lunch time, no luck adding a UK credit card. I filled in all the details with no probs until it got to the address part which needs a "prefecture" and also the post code section only allows you to enter numbers, so I guess it's Japanese credit cards only!

Might have to risk getting an asian points card from Play Asia and hope it works with my Japanese account. There are 36 items on the Japanese marketplace for Senko No Ronde!! Gotta get me at least a few of 'em

I risked a points card from PA, it didn't work...
The only way we're gonna do this is to find someone in JPN, PP them the money and they PM us the code.

                        Anyone able to do this!?

Sorry if these posts are going slightly off topic, I just really want some Senko themed goodness!

A quick question related to these new posts. If i got the Asian version of Blue Dragon, would the English marketplace content be compatible or would i be screwed and not be able to get any additional content. I honestly didnt think m$ would region lock points!!

Ahh bugger, that's a shame. Well at least we're not totally off topic, we are discussing ways to get Senko related stuff in a Senko thread. And when we do we can post our umm... first play impressions of the themes and gamerpics

I'm pretty sure there's no problem, I'm sure I've downloaded things from the UK Marketplace and used them in Japanese games... yes I have, PGR3, Kameo, RR6, to name a few. It's just the points that are locked, for some weird reason!

Thanks now i dont have to worry about that, apparently all the Blue Dragon content will be free at first anyway, so happy days, i just need to learn how to set up a japanese profile now (thats when i get round to buying the actual 360, ive got 2 games a controller a vga lead and no 360)

Anyhow back onto senko, how high would you guys rate this, I will be buying with my 360 currently:

                              Blue Dragon
Enchant Arm - is this any good?
                              Viva Pinata
                              Lost Planet
maybe GoW but thats a maybe.

So will Senko no ronde compete with them titles and make me want to play it or will it fade into the background and more than likely be forgotten after a couple of plays.

Also does it support multiplayer locally on the 360?

Personally, I haven't played my copy for a few months but mainly because I bought it at the same time as a load of other games. It's top quality and probably the only genuine reason to have a NTSC-J console (besides cheaper Asian version games of course).

It's similar to something like VF4 Evo in that you need to invest some time to learn how to play it properly, but if you appreciate games like that with deep play mechanics you'll love it.

                                Local multiplayer is supported.
