I picked it up for 20 notes too. Have to say I can't see what all the fuss is about, though I'm guessing it might suddenly click...am I right?

I'm finding long range attacks to be a little unresponsive and close combat is just unsatisfying and limited...Plus my only 360 owning chum dubbed it as 'gay' when he brought his pad over yesterday, so multiplayer is pretty much out the window.

Also, I can't shake the fact that Zone of Enders 2 looks and plays WAY better.

Have you played it online, chocky? That's where this game really shows its true colours. With evenly-matched players (and no lag) the battles are excellent. Real cat & mouse stuff, especially when it comes to using the B.O.S.S. attacks. Tbh, even when I was playing JP-only players last year with loads of lag, I still thought the battles were great.

The lack of players online is definitely a problem though. I've just been playing it for a couple of hours at what was a decent time for Europeans, but there were only about 4 people online at varying points. One was Destrukticor, but I couldn't join him for some reason.

1pm-4pm is a good time to find a game against JP players if you're desperate for some action.

According to mygamercard.net only 10680 members have played this game. Before the Western release, it was about 4500 so hardly anyone has bought it. ****, it probably would've sold more on the Dreamcast.

I wish there was a way to turn off that bloody menu music while still being able to hear if someone joins your game. It's not something I want to listen to in the background for the insane amount of time it can take to get a versus game

Well, last time I checked, it was at least over $100 over at Japan's Yahoo! auctions.

I guess it's so rare now that people don't even want to sell it used.

That's brilliant Dai Jou Bu, spent my lunch time reading through that and it really helps alot towards understanding the game and the mechanics. Nice one. Just a shame that online is dead if you want to grab a random game. (aye, I know about certain times its busy, but not good for sleep!)

Played the game once online against Goeman and he showed me the ropes and I really did enjoy it, but it was quite confusing jumping in for the first time. Shall be firing it back up again soon though.

I kind of thought that the EU community was a lot bigger than the US fanbase since people like Bleeders and Silvergun X were spearheading the charge when it first was released in Japan; it was pretty much silent in the US and I was perhaps the most vocal about it over here.
