FINALLY!!! Day three and it's clicked.
I know what it was now...finally on day three the game gives you a bit of time to play around with and I managed to
kill the guy in the cinema (Hardest so far!!)
and save FOUR people which was SO satisfying and got me up to level 19 with some cool moves.
The books really do help if anyone can't be arsed to get them, DO IT, they will help you a lot.
I also did the scoop with the
arsonist
but I couldn't put him out!! I tried all sorts of angles but just couldn't put him out with the fire extinguisher!!
Even though I killed him I ran out of time for the main quest so will have to do that again. The AI of the humans is so unbelievably stupid though, they just don't follow you...they can't dodge etc...it's a real experience ruiner (a new word!) some times.
Finally though...the annoying thing is that I went out to go and **** those cons but they weren't there...so when I got back after killing the guy mentioned above they were back...I was weaponless...BASTS!

Originally posted by ConceptYeah, I had the fun of having to restart from a save point about ten times due to being gased in that corridor. Prepare for more 'fun' similar to that later on in
Overtime mode.
And in true fashion to compliment the flawed save mode, there isn't even an 'exit-to-screen' or re-load option. It's either allow yourself to be killed (which
in Overtime mode takes quite some time if you're captured), end up with nothing to defend yourself with or re-boot the machine
. Hardly ideal.

Don't forget Cheryl who's locked in behind the warehouse door in the bottom left corner as you look towards the cinema screen.

That's the hardest part stand so he length ways on so his head is near your feet and use the extinguisher adjust your distance if it seems that it not working. I usually save about half his health and then give him some wine to restore his health.

I messed up day 2 last time out, so I would rather play from their again than the start from the day 1.
I've started writing notes for myself so I don't forget to do something in the heat of the moment like yesterday.Last edited by NeoStuey; 12-09-2006, 20:23.

i finished my firt playthrough this afternoon doing all the story with very few survivors
took a while to get into the game as it kept throwing objectives at me and there was no way i could do them all and some of the boss fights were unfair
just finishing off my zombie genocide run through
got 60,164 kills so i can do a survivor run with t3h blastzor
frankie is waiting on the heliport now for the last few hours to slip by...

Isabella in Carlito's hideout when she calls towards the end?
If you didn't, no matter what else you've done, you'll only get the ending where Frank
doesn't make it and the pilot get's chewed on

Sounds like that's what it is then -
She didn't call at the end though, I was waiting at the roof for the chopper for a couple of hours with no activity whatsoever, and then the game just finished. Great save system, by the way Capcom...I certainly wouldn't have liked to have an extra save just before the end so that I didn't get screwed!
Cheers Spatial.

I finally played this today and it's much better and more polished than the demo. I found it a bit overwhelming though, with all the things it throws at you. I'm going through it without doing any of the cases or scoops and just killing zombies and taking pictures on this attempt.
Too many loading screens!Last edited by MJ; 12-09-2006, 22:36.

Yep - since I ditched the main story it's turned into the game I thought it would be. I've had time to find even more stuff tonight, and more importantly, get more used to the controls and zombie movement. When I replay and do the story again things should go so much smoother. I can make it through tons of zombies without being touched, whereas before I tried to smack anyone who came near.
Loading screens = drink break!
