I'm in the tunnels now trying to diffuse bombs while Carlito repeatedly runs me over in a truck. The boss battles in this game really are incredibly frustrating, they seem custom designed to be as cheap and annoying as possible.
And if ever there was a boss who I really, really need to slice into tiny pieces with a battle axe, then run over with a lawn mower it's Carlito. I really hate the way he will only take one bit of melee weapon damage per attack too, - any more hits and he's completely invulnerable. Cheap bosses = poor game design.
I still keep coming back though. Addictive game, despite the catalogue of game design blunders.

Ha, when I first attempted that I didn't realise that the motorbike fit through the gap or that there were driveable vehicles down there...try doing it on foot!
That was one of the easier Carlito sequences though, take a katana (or indeed the battleaxe) to him through the driver's side window and he doesn't last long.

really enjoying this. i completely messed up the whole game, but i`m just levelling up, finding out where everything and i`m slowly setting myself up for my "proper" run through. the advice john posted earlier is perfect, its how it should be approached.
took out the convicts last night. nailed the gunner with a sniper rifle i found in the mall earlier, then as they stuck the jeep in the water near the entrance, i smacked the **** out of them and stole the jeep off emalthough it was slightly disturbing to be driving around with the dead corpse of the gunner still in the back... **** `em, they deserved it
zooming around the leisure park, playing a kinda sick crazy taxi with the undead, well i was laughing like a drain. after i trashed that (left it a smoking wreck), i took off the mounted gun, and did some crowd control ala vanpeebles in GRAW
god i love this game !

Anyone got the Bowling achievement yet?
I just flung the bowling ball around inside Paradise Plaza a few times late on in the game to do it. I think it only registers the times when 100pp flashes up, so it can look like you have nailed a number of zomies in your first go but it is only those that you get 100pp for killing that are counted towards the strike total. I stayed in that location until it was cleared.
On a separate note:
I found Adams death the most disturbing the way he kept laughing until he died as if he was getting tickled to death by his chainsaws. I also found his chainsaw very useful in offing a lot of psychos.
Also related to the above.
Did you make sure to switch off the ride after killing Adam to save Greg and find a very useful shortcut for getting between Wonderland Plaza and Paradise Plaza. Makes survivor rescues a lot more managable.
Achivement related.
How many survivors have you got out so far? The most I managed was 42, I ignored the main case to concentrate on survivor rescue, two got killed through missadventure, but for some reason I thought I still have more opportunities to get 50 out. In the end I think I only encountered 44 potential victims, still some hidden away out there.
I find answering Otis's calls a pain as the D-Pad on my controller is a bit mushy and unresponsive, still trying to unlock transmissionary. Still not gonna stop me from trying again in fact the game is on pause at the moment.
Been playing for over a week now and still finding new ways to amuse myself, and play it through differently.

Can't believe I haven't talked about the endings yet (major spoilers again):
The True Ending is a bit pants isn't it?
Why couldn't they have at least done a bit more an explained how they got out of there?
Or just left it as a total cliff hanger on top of the tank which would have been much better.
Seems odd given that they went to all the effort with switching from 72 hour mode and into Overtime mode (which was really well handled) yet they stuff up the games proper ending.
Instead you get a wooly Deus Ex Machina `they manage to escape` message and then the comment about his belly not being full - which I'm guessing, despite it's rather satanic overtone, is nothing more than a reference to Infinity Mode and the draining health.
There's not an additional ending for lasting seven days in Infinity mode is there? I haven't bothered to try and last that long yet as I've been too busy going back and exploring all the various endings to the main game.

The only real stats you get in game are on Franks status page in the menu (saying how levelled up he is) and when you complete the game (but I think that's the total Prestige Points you have more than anything else).
Question about the Karate Master Achievement:
Do you literally have to punch 1000 zombies to death or will any unarmed attack do? I must have totalled around 3000 zombies in various forms of hand to hand this afternoon and no achievement
