It's impressive, probably the most impressive game on the 360 to date, but definately won't be the GOTY.

I can't wait for this to come out on Friday!! Have been becoming more and more intrigued as I have heard little snippets about it, to the point where I have that 'excited about new game' feeling in my stomach, that I haven't had for ages. I think it is because for me, it sounds like the game ticks all those boxes that Capcom seem to know how to tick - being sinister, violent and eccentric all in the same package. Can't wait!

Well, since getting my 360 on Thursday, I've been playing this a hell of a lot.
I'm currently at the
disarming the bombs in the trucks in the parking area
bit and am having a few problems, but the thing I love about this game is that when certain bits seem deadly at first
the first battle with Carlitos, the fight against the leader of the cult etc
the more you play and spot patterns/pick up health or weapons, the easier it gets and it feels really satisfying beating a boss you've had trouble with.
Anyway, the number of zombies on show here, especially at night, is incredible. I love the crowd surfing thing you can do!
All in all, very happy with the game and another huge hit for Capcom in 2006 (they've really gone all out this year, haven't they?)

Man, I'm still catching stuff I missed out on my first few runs of the game. Tonight I was running low on decent firepower on the final night, so headed over to the
Huntin' Shack. Doing so made me miss the 12.00 deadline to meet up with Kent in Paradise Plaza, and when I arrived just a few minutes late I get a whole different cut scene (the fella's already been subjected to his photo stunt, I get stripped and tied by the neck and have to fight him in my pants and MegaMan helmet, while tied to the ceiling)
. This game is nuts.
I also managed to take out
the chopper a few times for some nice points. And I realised before that I still haven't fought Jo the cop. I must be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Also, has anyone had the
convicts respawn? On my third run I dealt with 'em first time I encountered 'em. Note - three psychopaths down, but when I returned to the area the cheap bastards were back!!!
Oh, and has anyone managed to
save Paul? I tried to put him out with the extinguisher but didn't manage it.
Oh well, there's always next time.

Yeah I get the convicts thing - I tend not to bother taking them down anymore as it's not worth the hastle (unless I want
their vehicle for the maintainence tunnels - it takes a real bashing before giving up
).
And it is possible to put out
Paul's flaming crotch
. It can be a bit picky about how close you stand with the extinguisher but you should get plenty of time to do it (says the person who failed it the first time around).
