I was gutted when the game ended & I was just left there on the heli pad, I was about ready to throw the pad at the bloody tv. Then of course it turns out that the overtime bit is the way to the true ending so I feel a bit better now.**** me though, Overtime mode is hard, the SF guys just come from everywhere & I hate those little air-ship things. I get the feeling that I need to change my tactics & start sneaking around if I want to get anywhere with this one.
Oh, and I hate the fact that you start with nothing. Very, very irritating!
item left and then the ten queen's. The SF machine gun is really good, but it still takes loads of bullets to take them down. The stupid thing is you can be holding on the trigger on their head, they'll be taking the damage, and suddenly they'll fire back knocking off two health.
I will succeed though...

I know exactly what you mean, I like to use close combat weapons to take them out where possible. Its much easier to slice them with the Katana or the Battle Axe but when you get surrounded by a few of them it is so hard to do anything about it. I think where I'm going wrong is I get seen by the mini blimps & then they call a load of guards to my location. If I can just evade those I reckon it'll be much easier. Must try harder!!!
Still absolutely loving though, reckon Infinity Mode is going to be a right laugh!

I just got to the dyke cop (terrible stereotyping, hilarious camera angles!!)
The only weapon I had were four shotguns I got from zombie cops outside, every time I tried to turn and aim, she was already there in my face..... I'm trying to persevere with this game, but I'm finding it so aimless and unfair.

In a way, I was sad* it didn't end there.
*obviously I enjoyed the extra gameplay, but I like my endings bleak.

Take the queens back a few at a time to Isabella, she'll just say that she needs a few more until you bring her ten.
also
If you met and killed Adam the clown in Wonderland Plaza, go and visit the space ride control panel area to pick another mini chainshaw (as it respawns on each visit) i.m.o. it's the best melee weapon in the game.

Stupid question, I am sure, but I just finished 72hr mode..
I got "Ending A", and I am now infected, and have 24hrs to complete what I presume is "the true ending" etc. Here it comes.. There is a save option at the place you start at, on a matress. From this point, can I start on 72hr mode again, or will it over my Overtime mode? I want to go through it again, seeI am guessing there is a new option on the front end for 72hr and Overtime modes?
Thanks
EDIT: I think I have it sussed, I just didn't want to save
in the hideout as I thought t might overright the "72hr mode" start option.

I'm still struggling with it mind:
spoiler
What I assumed is the very end of the game, Brook. I've done the first section of the fight but he completely kicks my arse in the second. I've been doing jump kicks and the spinning move and can get him down to about half health, but he keeps getting behind me and knocking half my health each time! I have 9 bars of health, and that is pretty harsh imo!

I just kept jump kicking him over and over. He'd smack me once in a while, but generally it was a pretty easy fight. If I tried any other moves he would always be able to do severe damage to me.

Some people reckon the Double Lariat works but I did him in a similar fashion to Kotatsu:
Wait 'till he's on up the upper part of the tank and then getting Frank on the lower part, standing near the step up. As Brock comes within range, quickly move back slightly and then run towards him, doing a running jump kick at him. Nine times out of ten you'll hit him and then just have to drop back down to the lower part of the tank and repeat it all over again.
That way he can't grab you and it'll chip away at his health (shouldn't take too long either)

Just this second done it, was a faily lame
fight to be honest, Concept was bang on - this sort of thing should have been ended ten years ago.
.
Mixed feelings about the whole game, but mostly good. As a concept they pulled it off superbly and is arugably the first genuine 'next-gen' game that couldn't possibly have worked on previous hardware. The tension was falsely created by gimping the save system and indeed the friendly AI characters, but the tension was mostly certainly there regardless. I don't think I've played a more panic-inducing game since Siren - one bar of health several corridors of zombies between a save point and energy, half an hour gameplay at stake - intense doesn't sum it up. It's a cheap mechanic, and a very frustrating one, but it sure has worked in creating the right atmosphere.
Capcom have made some weird choices with the game no doubt, but I don't think they count against the game. The faults are mostly aimed at the useless friendly AI - I can understand why they've left it so rubbish to add tension, but it mostly backfires. I tended to just leave them behind after a few minutes of trying to get them to move away from the incoming zombies, which must be against what they've intended. If the AI was more capable it'd have created a more action orientated game, but I believe a more enjoyable one.
Praise though, Capcom have achieved a very special game with Dead Rising. It wasn't all I had hoped by any means, but it an extremely acomplished game regardless. It's unlike anything I've played before, and for that I'm greatful.
Special mention to the acting too - not only the excellent voice acting, but the motion capture, which for once wasn't completely over done.

Just completed 72 hour mode. Loved every second. Don't see why people have a problem with the save system, just have the health book, and a load of OJ, and your pretty much good to go anytime - didn't lose any gameplay time (well, maybe 5 minutes here and there) due to the save system. Can't wait to do Overtime mode.
This game has jumped right into my favourites list. Awesome! The only thing that annoyed me throughout, was the walkie talkie system. Having to hang around while someone talks to you on it, and not being able to jump while talking.. Apart from that, it was ace!
Got to level 28 - Only saved about 17 people - can't wait to finish overtime mode, and start again to save more!
