Could someone outline the best way to complete the achievement? I'm rather interested in

its all about the maintenance tunnels, i did it when i was doing the case files and during the bomb file the concentrations of zombies are more dense, just deal with carlito at the 2nd bomb and he will go away

Just get a nice system going with the vehicles..... Something like drive the red car in the car park down to the white car, then drive that back upto the truck past the carpark entrance, then drive that back outside to the red car..... and repeat.

If you go through as many gas canisters as possible and use each vehicle till it's almost buggered, each round trip should net you about 900-1300 kills.

Kind of stumbling my way through this. I think I've ****ed up at the Medicine Run though. Killed Steve but at my last save I'm in the red time wise on the run. By the time I get to Brad and Jessie she thanks me for the medicine but then the next cases all expire.

Do I have no option but to start again?

Nope, just right from the very beginning. Another reason this whole one save thing is a bite in the ass.

Kind of stumbling my way through this. I think I've ****ed up at the Medicine Run though. Killed Steve but at my last save I'm in the red time wise on the run. By the time I get to Brad and Jessie she thanks me for the medicine but then the next cases all expire.

Do I have no option but to start again?

nope

but fighting Steve with a low experience rating is difficult and my first time through i think the next case file starts at 10am and i got to the security office at about 2pm - it will remain as a small amount of red until you get to the end - if it gets that far on any scoops or casefiles it means you havent done it, scoops will vanish whereas casefiels will remain active if you are in the middle of one

just play through the game to the end trying for achievements and boosting your experience

around level 30 and beyond Steve is childs play - especially with chainsaws

also another option is to go for the genocider acheivement for the rest of your time since you will be just starting the 2nd day

by the time you finish that your experience level will be 40+ and you will ahve the mega buster cannon

i've personally never had a problem with the save feature

think i played it thru 7 times and did both survivors, so for me it the best money ive spent on a game maybe except final fantasy 7

I enjoy it but frankly I don't have the time to play the same thing over again and again because of a **** up I was barely aware I had made. With most of the other files the game over bit starts as soon as the time runs out. You can reset and try again With medicine run it let me slog all the way back to the room then told me to go take a **** to myself.

And now that my last save is after the time has run out I'm ****ed.

Aye it sounds like you've had a lot of fun with it. I've been trying to do the same but keep hitting brick walls. I'm at Lv 12 and actually found Steve surprisingly easy compared to Carlito. But how can I do that if the first time I need to go to the security room I get game overed?

I thought Steve was easy. Probably cause of his name, same as my ex so had no trouble pummeling him with EVERYTHING in sight.

i found the fight with Steve difficult because it took so long

i never had alot of health and i was about the same level as you are right now and i just stood behind the wine racks and drunk wine to top my health up and whacked him with an iron pole or 2x4, took some damage and ran behind the wine racks again - mainly because his shopping cart couldnt get you and the rack protected you from his shotgun

so it took ages to defeat him

but if you decide to play it through again - fight Adam first (wonderplaza ride out of control) and hit him with chainsaws - maybe about 5 swipes will do him in (only 2 on level 50)

tbh imo the hardest character in the game is Cletus - only found him really easy when i got the mega buster and he is not even a boss

i just enjoyed this game

it can get infuriating - especially going for the saint achievement since all the survivors are idiots

but to break it up just stick masks on zombies or stick a shower head in their head

tbh imo the hardest character in the game is Cletus - only found him really easy when i got the mega buster and he is not even a boss

The chainsaw can kill him very easily, here's how:
- Hide somewhere and wait for him to fire 6 his shotgun 6 times.
- He starts reloading. Run to him so that the counter is between you and him. That way he can't throw you out...
- But the small chainsaw has enough reach for you to hit him through the counter. Hit him a couple times and run back to your hiding spot.
- Repeat as necessary.

It probably works with a katana or a battle axe too. Once you know the trick you can kill him in a minute or so without taking any damage.

It's a rather oldschool idea that there's a "trick" to beating each boss. I like it. Even though I got my arse kicked a good dozen times before realizing that firearms were not the way to go against Sean.
