    That's a real shame.

Was trying my XBox 360 out for the first time online on Friday and yesterday I ended up having to fork out for the wireless adaptor and a wireless router.

I had my broadband installed on Friday, just a cable modem so was going to be swapping my laptop and Xbox 360 over with one another. But as soon as the Xbox 360 was connected up using the ethernet port, I noticed a horrible chicken wire effect on screen. Did some more testing running the cable in a different route, no change, unplug the power cord from the modem and it went, so I am blaming the cable modems PSU for not having adequate sheilding on it, in fact it doesn't have any.

Now the chicken wire effect has gone.

I think once you have it installed in the car, you press the (<) Back button to toggle it on and off during a race until your nitros supply is expired.

I've yet to stick nitros in my RX-FD3S yet so can't confirm for definate.

If your online, feel free to add me to your buddies list if you fancy a spin.

Thanks mate, that's it. Must have pressed every button but that one

Too bad I already finished TA and Quest Mode 100% before finding out - would have been handy on the final boss and his stupidly quick car. Had to use 3 translated Wanderer lists to get them all.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game even with it's pop-up and occasional pop-in, just like the ones I played on DC it has that 'one more race' addictiveness going on. I like how you can start again but with your current garage. Hopefully my Live connection will be sorted in the next week so I can get online with it.

I had a S15 before buying and speccing my weapon of choice which got the job done:

Care to share? I only have a few wanderers left and it's bloody annoying having to go search for them.

@segages, nice styling on the car, I like it.

I see your game days are currently at 166, I've got a feeling that my game days are going to be a lot higher when/if I clear the game. I play without any of the on screen displays, I found myself drawn to them and crashing. I'm currently at 90% clear, 1 team left to beat, the wanderers and two boses. I use the rival list page to have an idea of where to go but it's still a suprise to get discover a new rival car as I cruise along.

I also start out with an S15 but sold it in my imaptience to race and beat the quicker cars, I wish I kept it, next I bought a RX-7 spent a fortune doing upgrades on it, then found a BNR32 with a level 3 engine could match the times I was putting in with it and now I'm having to re-race lots of battles just to get some CR together to pay for upgrades.

I really like the game so it's no real bother.

When you get your broadband put me on your friends list.

              @Kubrick

Have you had any problems with Shutokou battle X when your connected to live?

I've have had it freeze a couple of times now, sometimes losing the screen, it goes completely blank. I've only had broadband myself since the 8/9 and it's the only game I have had such trouble with on my console. I can be playing quest mode when this happens, but looking at the modem it does look like there was network activity when the freeze/crash occured.

Yeah, it actually crashed on me the last time I played it! It just froze while it was trying to upload my time attack result to the rankings. I think it was maybe down to my connection being poor at the time since the same thing has happened with other games. I had defeated about 10 Wanderers beforehand too but hadn't saved...

Kubrick, thanks for your reply it has help releive me of my paranoia.

I agree that it sucks when you lose battle progress/cr. I've actually found myself compromising my win bonus because I'm now scared that a crash/freeze will see me having to do it all again.

It would be nice if it gets patched to fix it for online play. It never crash/froze once on me before I got my Xbox live set up and I played nearly 40 hours exclusively offline.

Still I find the game strangely adicting even with this quirk.

In fact I voted it my favorite XBox 360 game to date.

Sure... beware the translation is pretty bad (I Googled for 首都高バトル x wanderer):

Main List with numbers - scroll down past the gamer points. If I had trouble with the description on here, I copy/searched the Wanderer name into these two:

                    List 2
List 3 this one has black text on black background for me so highlight the text or just search.

There is also this english list but some of the descriptions weren't accurate, so I mainly went with the three above.

I'm back at 4% complete thanks to my hard drive failure. Still at least I'll be able to spend my CR more wisely this time round.

I was about 96% complete before.

                          Ouch, bad luck man

I don't like the sound of this Live crashing. Usually I'd race about 20 opponents to clear them and at the same time get my multiplier up to 2x, before going into one of the PAs to battle the bosses for mega cash. I know I'd be pi$$ed if somewhere in there the game locked up.

I blew all the money I earned along the way on cars to meet the Wanderer criteria although some of it was wasted buying too many upgrades. I earned it back in the end though

I was going to start again using the 'Keep Garage' option but there's no challenge in destroying every opponent with ease. I might hang on a few weeks for the PAL release and go through it from scratch on that since it's a great game.

It's okay, I love this game enough to go through it all again.

Played for an hour last night whilst connected to live and had no problems to report, all saves went smoothly onto my memory card. Stayed out for battles until I blew my combo bonus by challenging superior cars.

Beofre that outing I had played TD:U for 6 hours without hitch following the removal of my HDD so I am now in the belief that my problems were all hardware related. It would have been interesting to know wether it is a true failure or data corruption, but the 2 guys at MS support just said to send the drive back for a replacement.

                            So that's what I'm doing.

Hope to meet up with you on the C1 loop et all in the near future.

Thanks to Stuey's help, Shutokou is starting to click with me now! Defeated the 1st three 'proper' bosses so far and just purchased the R32 Skyline
Winning single player battles seems to be all about taking the corners properly, something that the AI can't seem to do. A bit of blocking helps too.
This is turning into a very addictive game!

It was only a little bit of help.

I've got my Skyline back too! Yay!

See you on the C1 loop.
