ive just got the wanderers left now, as with most genki SB games, the first one gets their foot in the door and the 2nd one is always packed with all kinds. the sequel to this one should be magic

Played a few games against Silvergun last-night; his Fairlady Z against an RX-7, bit of a mismatch really since the Fairlady left the RX for dead off the line.

        Great fun none-the-less though.

Whilst the loops are fairly bland, the car models look absolutely fantastic, really impressed with them.

Just got this today and was the game that christened my 360

Loving it loads so far. I was expecting handling similar to Genki's Kaido Battle series on the PS2 - i.e. very realistic and deadly to get mastered, and so was very pleasantly surprised to find there's not so much of a learning curve here although it isn't easy.

Love the fact too that the menus are pretty much all English which makes things so much easier.

I've put in about 2 hours so far today so I've tuned my Supra up nicely (although I did notice some Midnight Club/Chav-tastic stuff like full outer neons etc :P) and have just beaten one of the rival leaders (Rolling Guy I think it was...) in his AE86.

Lots more playtime later tonight methinks

It's a compulsive game for sure.

Here's a couple of my cars

R32 Skyline GT-R. Done most of the game with this. Level S mods for everything. Kept the styling looking standard-ish but tarted it up with some graphics.

Lancer Evolution IX. Not had this very long, infact I don't think I've even driven it yet. Looks mean though!

Kubrick, loving that Skyline, it looks the business! Especially the decal arrangement.

And that Evo is indeed looking mean and moody, wonder what would happen to poor little Sylvia if it ever went up against it.

I've already added almost another two hours play today.

                The game is truely addicting.

I love the way they've done the lighting, especially the shadows cast by cars caught in your headlights. The city seems really well presented to me the odd bit of pop-up is not noticable unless you look for it, and I have only had the one instance of a magically appearing peice of tarmac and that was coming of the C1 outer loop in Shibuya going counter clockwise. When it happened I had spent hours cruising and racing solely around the C1 loop so I am wondering if it is a minor caching issue, with the game suddenly having to load it back in. But then again it hasn't happened again since.

My overall opinion of the game = .

Awww, I want this soo badly! Now I've sold all my PS2 stuff the only version I have is the PSP version, which isn't the same without the streaming highways

Another question, are there weather effects? SB01 had some of the best wet road effects I've ever seen.

The only thing that I DON'T like about this game, is that you do NOT stand a chance playing online unless you have a fully S tuned Skyline.

It flies RIGHT off the line and any other maximum tuned car doesn't stand a chance IMO.

An offline game only I think, but it's very, very good.

I dunno. That Skyline of mine is really slow unless you keep it on boost, plus it's only good for about 5mins of racing before it starts overheating and losing power!

MonkeyWrench, unfortunately there's no weather effects. Just 3 different time zones - Night, Midnight and Daybreak.

As others have said, this game really does draw you in. Played last night (after a day or two not playing it) and decided to try to find and defeat a few cars. Course, this went on and on and I ended up playing for ages

Haven't unlocked all the courses yet, but the huge straight that leads onto C1 is fantastic if you have a fast enough car! My little Supra got up to about 285 km/h there and it's only at level 3 engine tuning.
Can't wait to get the Evo IX and test her out on it!

That's a shame, I really liked the wet weather and fog effects. I suppose the different times adds something new into the mix. It's a shame Genki seem to rush these things out, they have a habit of adding new things and then removing them in the next iteration.

                              Still enjoying this game!

                              Quest mode

Game time is now at 24h47m23s

                              Total battles to date 388.

                              2177km covered and 59% complete.

Sylvia had to go, she couldn't compete against the bigger muscle cars. So I got a Mazda RX-7, it will be a beast when fully upgraded, first I got to get the money together!

                              Win combo FTW!
