This thread keeps reappearing and reminding me to give this a second playthrough. I'm going to try it on hard this time and see how ****e I really am.

I'm guessing that on hard you can't get away with running back and forth like a madman throwing flying kicks all over the place? No? I'm buggered.

Sorry to bump this again, can anyone hook me up with the ost? I've searched high and low for it

I thought of this game for some reason and was watching some youtube vids, looks awesome and it kind of reminded me of No More Heroes which I liked.
THinking of picking it up, will it make much difference if it's in Japanese, as that's what my PS3 is?

Allow me to bring this thread back.

God Hand is one of the greatest games ever made.

There are two types of people in this world: base level wannabes and people that play God Hand.

This game is difficult, fair, brutal, exhilarating and forces you to come to terms with the kind of person you are. This is one of the best combat systems ever created. While some games let you w*nkers customise your space helmets, this game allows you to learn the intricacies of a combat system then customise the hell out of it.

As you play the game's brilliance reveals itself to you. A daring lunatic created a combat game without camera control and without flashy spectacle. It is a deliberately paced beast of a creation and a rare treat.

I am appalled and ashamed it has taken me this long to play it. I am still terrible at it (just done the pirate ship and have been playing for hours) but I am slowly becoming a better person.

I am never as eloquent or as detailed as I would like to be when I write first play threads so allow me to link you to this review while I work on my own piece about it.

Why we live in a world where Clover was shut down I will never know.

Back from the dead, let's go broke back!!

Absolutely love this game. It's the one combat game out of all of them, DMC, Viewtiful joe, bayonetta etc that I really got, and learned to play it properly and how the devs intended.

Some crazy person invented a way for me to spank a man into orbit, and I love him for it.

I love God Hand! It sits proudly in my pile of games I will never sell.

It highlights how terrible the combat is in Batman and Enslaved etc.

Beat Shannon for (what I assume is) the first time this morning. Elvis worked me over so many times when I both of his fights but now that I have unlocked a load of special attack slots, an extra roulette orb and (most importantly) learned how to play better, she only took a couple of goes.

Thoroughly enjoying the game, loved her intro cutscene with Gene swigging a beer and can't wait to play more.

It's one of the few games that I just can't emulate successfully on my laptop, this and DMC3.

QC, as a man who loves his martial arts films, I demand that you give me three reasons why you HAVE NOT PLAYED GOD HAND.

                            - I only heard people talking about it around 6 months ago and it sounds a bit cheesy
                            - I'm trying not to add more games to the pile
                            - I'm worried it will feel a little dated now

Is it a bit like those Musou games but with better combat? I liked FotNS: Ken's Rage, if that helps!

Nope, It is more like Resident Evil 4 but with fist instead of guns. Small groups of enemies, slower than normal paced combat and an emphasis on mastery rather than flashy moves.

The game is really hard but constantly fair. If you make a mistake you are punished for it but understand exactly what you did wrong. It is all about learning the combat system then assigning attacks to completely change and customise your move set. You then master every attack and constantly experiment and expand your knowledge of the systems at work.

The game is very, very cheesy but that is part of the appeal. It feels like it mocks the nonsense game stories games normally take very seriously and just has some fun with everything. You will spank a dominatrix so hard she flies across a level and then stomp on a masked gorilla's face.

Hard, challenging, wonderful, funny and makes you a better person. The system never fails, you do and you must decide whether you are the type of person that can stick with something or whether you want to opt out when the going gets tough.

Lol, Musou games are terrible. God Hand is awesome.

I thik with God Hand you should think Dark Souls in terms of difficulty. Understand mechanics and how to approach your opponents is how to stay alive.
