Holy crap - that sensei guy on top of the pyramid was giving me some proper hassle tonight. Think I spent about an hour and half trying to kill him! :O

Started playing through again now though going through the casino trying to earn money for the decent moves early on

now got to the high roller part of the casino seem to be earning decent money though it is taking a long time

oh is it just me or does it seem harder on the second play through ?

Couldnt really tell ya, Im not gonna spend too much time playing it thru until I beat it on hard. Then Im gonna aim for 100% completion on the 2nd playthru so i can beat all the challenges.

What's this game like on Easy for anyone who's played it on this mode? Do you have more life or does the tension meter build up quicker? How's it different from Normal?

gave easy mode a try i think the level bar does not go above level 2 and the tension bar i think goes up a bit quicker

Seems the enemy AI is easier aswell

one thing i do is to try and keep the enemies juggling as much as possible (so they dont disapear) to increase the level bar

now i am starting to use the weaving dodge move (i just used the left tight and back dodging)

Getting not to bad at using it (seems to fill level bar up quite quickly especially if using a counter move)

Last set of bosses weren't too tough. I'd properly pimped Jean out with an amazing set of moves just before though, which might have helped. Tbh, I had more trouble with some of the preceeding levels where they start chucking 8 *tough* enemies all at you at once, then throwing in a demon or two in just for fun!

Class game though - I love the music during the credits sequence Going to give it a rest for a bit now, might come back and try Hard mode at some point.

What difficulty level did you finish it on?

I've been reading Casual is easy and spoil it or Hardcore is too hard for first time round... what you reckon?

on normal managed to beat elvis (in his demon form) without getting hit was quite chuffed

Actually just used the godhand then the finish move ran around chucking objects at him then used the roullete chain attack (which stunned him) allowing the finish move again did that two more times which refilled my godhand and attacked him after that all i had to do was hit him a few more times

Yay, this game is brilliant! Only spent a couple of hours on it so far, but already trashed Elvis without getting hit. I love how he creeps out the mansion and slowly shuts the door behind him

Don't know who Alexander is yet, though... the baddies seem to be going on about him a bit.

I've heard rumors that Alexander was the original Godhand who defeated Angra the first time around. Apparently, you fight him in one of the challenges.

i got halfway through, then picked up the similarly-named God of War on platinum (i missed it first time round).

God Hand was fun, but God of War kicks seven shades out of it....

might go back to God Hand though, the boss fights are great

You should play it on Hard, you're always on DIE, and it never goes down. Thats where your skills shoot throught the roof. Me and Saur just made it through Hard for the first time, and we're powering up Jean for the 2nd run. I myself have all the challenges finished, 27 of the 29 roulettes purchased, all of the health, tension, and Roulette orb upgrades, and 93 of the 114 techniques, and I havent even begun stage 1-2 yet, the one where Olivia puts the kick-me sign on Jean's back.

God of War is fun for awhile, but its easy. You can easily beat the game on the hardest diffiuclty without even buying any of the upgrades. Godhand may be graphically inferior, but its 10 fold more complex in its mechanics, and infinetely more detailed, not too mention, a lot more difficult.


p.s. the ultimate challenge of the game: beat the game with Kick-Me sign still attached, this means using no Godhand releases, or Godreel/roulette attacks from stage 1.2 onwards. Either of those will knock the sign off. Am getting rdy to do this run on Hard, in which you're always on DIE. I'll be posting every vid on Youtube, and I'll link the first one here, so anyone who is interested can watch.
