i got bored of playing god hand after awhile. the combat system didn't grip me like i was expecting, i got bored of the repititionous and dull level design. but thats just me though.

if i had to compare the two, i would go with god of war. which i recently finished on hard, will have to do it on god mode now(the doppleganger bit, is going to be nightmare).

I'll be posting every vid on Youtube, and I'll link the first one here, so anyone who is interested can watch.
YES PLEASE!! I'm up for that. Get to it man. I wanna see the skillz.

I really wanna get back into this, but with my Wii arriving and Lost Planet around the corner, I can only put a few hours in on this a week. I'm halfway through HARD now, using no continues. Can't imagine what it'd be like without the use of the Godhand.

Ok, I can respect that. It is a lot of repetition, but so is any 3D action adventure game. Even God of War contains a certain level of repitition. Dull level design, LOL, yes, its true, but the focus of the game is on the enemies and the mechanics to combat them, not the levels. I mean come on, even God of War doesnt offer you near as many possibilities, and choices, to overcome the enemies. The number of different combinations you can make with a set of 11 out of 114 moves is astounding.

I'll hopefully be able to start this week. Im writing exams at the moment, and I still have a few moves to purchase before I can start.

I know how people could love god hand. its like marmite or pn03, you either love it or midly like it. Im a huge clover fan, its just god hand didn't grab me the same way as their other output.

I understand what you mean - I love God Hand to bits, but its certainly not the most instantly gratifying game. You sort of have to *know* personally that you're playing well to get satisfaction out of it, and to do that you really have to familiarise yourself with the combat system's nuances - theres very little in the way of visual feedback, and certainly when playing it in front of other people you don't get the same sort of response as when you're caning around with Dante, Kratos or Ryu.

I picked up Godhand for free two weeks ago (hehe)...but, I've been busy playing seed destiny so last night I decided to give Godhand a go. Jide told me a few weeks back it's quality, plus its by CLOVER. These two factors were enough for me to use my voucher!

What a game! I'm currently at the Azel boss fight. I gotta say...this game does one thing really really really ass kicking well...GREAT BOSS FIGHTS!

Love the game mechanics to bits. In a way, I feel it's alot more satisfying than DMC3!!!! Dante needs to learn 'SPANKING'...NOW ^o^

All the cancellable slip/duck/attacks just makes it very intensive to play. Jean is such a great new character.

As someone that has every single Clover Studio game, it makes me sad they are gone. But, what a ride it has been.

                Thank you Clover!

w00t got this today and been playing for about half an hour. I'm up to the poison chiuauaua (however you spell it) and really enjoying it so far.

I probably need a few hints and general gameplay tips from people on here. I've had to restart on easy all ready due to getting utterly wasted by the first demon on normal!

yeah, i got this today as well (it was a toss-up between this or Okami) and i'm really enjoying it so far, as i love these kind of games. it's as dumb as a box of rocks, immense fun and has no pretentions about what it does - walk. fight. walk. walk. fight. fight. walk. fight. it just doesn't care and piles on more WTF moments

as with a lot of games of this type, it's all about the timing and not mashing the buttons and i'm finding it more satisfying than any of the DMC games. it reminds me of Chaos Legion in that, while all there is is just cracking heads in the most entertaining way possible, the initial stupidity gives way to a more measured approach as you acquire more moves.

                      great

This game's a bit cheeky, innit?

And by cheeky I mean it bitch-slaps you until you cry and then blows raspberries in your snotty, tear-ridden face.

But, oh my god, it's so good! It's so intense, and so utterly, brazenly, stupidly fun, you barely notice how appaling the graphics are (looks more like a PSOne game than a last-wave PS2 game, complete with random pop-up everywhere). It's like a more grounded DMC, with all the jumps and graceful acrobatics exchanged for spit, sawdust and twelve-bar-blues fisticuffs. Loads of minigames in the Casino too, and some nods at other CApcom titles in the bonus rounds including a 'smash the car' challenge. Top stuff

i never really found the game repetitive at all for some reason i have played through the game several times and i still enjoying

i think it is down to the satisfaction that i am actually getting better at it and the better i get the more difficult the game gets

i love risk/skill=reward systems in games
