If you make sure you press the pass button before you push the left stick to towards your team mate your guy will either back heel it or play a pass without turning, depends on balance, etc if he does a back heel I think but as long as you hit pass button THEN the direction it should work.

This technique actually got me my best goal so far. Beckham going to byline, defender on him, flicks it back for Salgado who whips in front post cross for Ronaldo to flying volley by the keeper, was so sweet!!

Thanks Mardigan, the fact that this version plays harder (imo anyway) means you get more satisfaction from scoring great goals.

My best goal so far has to be from a cross which scholes chest controlled and then volleyed into the top corner, also on the replay he wasn't even looking towards goal it was like the ultimate Ronaldinho homage.

Me and my mate couldn't stop laughing cus it was totally out of the blue and cus it was me quite a large element of luck was involved.

Aye, using that to invite an opponent in then flicking the all to the side and sprinting is class. As is hitting RT+LT at the same time (Once swapped) to knock the ball a few yards ahead of you when you are standing still, its perfect for setting up a long raking pass or thunderous drive.

The game seems to be starting to hit home with everyone now and all the littel intricicies in the controls are showing again how good Pro Evo really is!!

Interestingly we had Evo6 in the office last week (the lads play it) and they had it on for one day and now they're playing 4 !!!!

So, it's not just the 360 version people aren't grasping !

traded in for pc version and i'm glad i did. It plays so much smoother, plus it doesn't frustrate me like the 360 one was. Anyway who can't do with ostriche costumes

When i first got this i just didn't like it and felt it was too slow and the passing was terrible, in fact i hated it and it just frustrated the hell out of me. I'd only ever played Pro Evo on PS2 before and i was convinced the 360 version was a load of rubbish.

But after five days play i've slowly gotten to like it more and more and tonight during master league it just all came good and it gave me such a buzz to be dominating possesion again. When you grasp the basics you can start to think more deeply about the tactics and i'm thurely enjoying it now. So to anyone thinking about taking it back i was thinking the same but just give it until friday.

I too am liking the game, especially now that it`s easier to get an online game without trying to join random matches for 10 minutes whilst getting the "Room nolonger exists" message.

Managed to score an overhead kick last night with Saha, it was class...... albeit a little lucky!

Master League really started coming together last night after couple of astute signings in the mid season window. Captured Ribery and Schweinsteiger who look like they are going to turn out fantastic players but are still great just now. Played 2 games since picked them up and they 3 goals between them from midfield I love it when you get goal scoring midfielders in Pro Evo as most of the goals in the game tend to come from the forwards with the way people play but I love getting the midfielders into goal scoring opportunities.

Put a good few of my team up for transfer aswell as they are not in my plans but none of them got bought in the mid season window so have to wait till end of season to get points for them.

Sitting 3rd in the league but still to play the top 2 and wins will put me top so its all to play for in the final few games, also in the semi of the cup so looking good for the double with the 2 new lads bringing some class to the wings.

The game has everything and I just cant stop thinking about playing it again and who I am gonna sign next. Probably look at strengthening the defence next with a centre half and a full back on the list.

Gonna try get on live tonight for a bit aswell so look out for me later if the master league doesn't consume me

Is it true that you can use your master league team online, or am i making that up?

Had some good games online last night including a 6-4 goal fest (in my favour). Im starting to put away my chances now using the middle shoot (Shevchenko really blasts them in to the top corner from an angle) but man i need to sort my defence out - they bump into eachother all the time and take the worst first touches you have ever seen! Guess its all part of adapting to the new game mechanics to some extent, although im blaming the slightly dodgy player switching as well at times!

Anyway, i plan on caning this tonight both online and off so look out for me for some games.

I'm having the same problem too shipping soft goals - are you using RB to get the ball under at all?

Also, put the player change cursor down to 0 or really low so it doesn't switch players on you all the time. I had this problem where I would attempt a tackle but it would change to another player while I pressed B and have him slide instead leaving a nice big gap for my opponent to run through but put the player change to manual so sorted that madness now

Also, using RB when taking control of a pass, especially at the back is a must. Using the RB button whenever you are changing direction on the wings then switching to sprint is brilliant for dribbling and am really starting to get to grips with using these additional movies to get my players twisting and turning like they should be.

Can you do this online though? I've had exactly that trouble of the wrong player going to ground when trying to slide, which I can fix offline, but can't see the option online.
