I did think the rain section would be

longer and was a little disappointed that it didn't last longer! Still,

    it was excellent. Graphically insane.

      You've seen the
, yes? Now, those are truly insane. I could have happily spent the entire game inside them.

Indeed, as I said, that entire act was just graphically insane.

I was talking to a mate who hasn't got the game yet, and I mentioned that with this game, and that act specifically they have set the bar so damn high that every publisher/developer has one hell of a standard to meet now.

just finished the game, an excellent romp. pretty much what i expected and i look forward to playing again in co-op and doing hardcore and stuff

one thing i didnt expect was where it used video for some cutscenes, but it was video of ingame stuff (similar to mario sunshine). its only used for cutscenes that would need too much loading/ram and its still game assets so fair enough. only did it 2 or 3 times.

Awesome game, co-op online is a blast.

I love some of the cool little things like glowing barrel ends and heat shimmer off the gun, insane. Using the chainsaw never gets old.

the entire game is graphically stunning... one thing i mentioned to my mates (who were also sat in utter awe) was the fact it's also a VERY playable game which is even more amazing.

i'd go so far as to say it'll be very difficult for any other developers to follow this game, even halo3 has a massive massive task if it's to be anywhere near as good.

                The multi-player handles fantastically.

The movement and weapons (bar the sniper) feel spot-on. Really solid.

The cover system is so well done that it will be painful going back to other games of this type that don't have it. Thinking about it, I hope Bungie will implement some form of cover system in Halo 3.

I've played yesterday with a mate of mine an 8,5 hour co-op session/marathon, we started from Act2 till we've finished it on Hardcore !
This game is totally amazing, this is one big rollercoaster ride !
yes it is quite short, but it's tremendous fun from the very first minute till the very last minute, I haven't had such a blast since Halo 5 years ago !
Now letst I'll give it a go on Insane......

Oh yes, act3 is a true work of art !! I wouldn't mind to have more Act's like that, it was incredible beautiful AND nerve wrecking at some points!

Got this on wednesday, completed it on casual today... was going to bump it up to hardcore but I kinda sucked at using the cover system for a while there (sticking to stuff when I didnt want to etc...) and once the "must see next section" vibe kicked in I went all the way through on casual.

It just never gets old does it and though the actual storyline isnt all that well voiced in the game it doesnt matter one bit as its just a vehicle for the action and therefore takes a back seat, just fleshing what it needs to do.

I've since jumped straight back into it on Insane and my oh my is it fun. I am already at the end of chapter 1 but as people have mentioned you dont mind dying and retrying because its got you hooked.

I think graphically chapter 3 takes the cake, but they all look outstanding. If I was going to point out anything that disappointed a little it was the level design on some parts where its obvious its just symmetrical corridors repeated and not much outdoor sections but it doesnt matter one bit. Everything is just gravy baby! Co-op... well Ive done chapter one so far with a mate and this week its insane all the way through which is going to be the real deal.

Multiplayer is great but ranked matches are broken for me, I think I get connected in 1 game out of 20 so I've kept to player matches instead. Love the fact the levels are borrowed from parts of the campaign and though I have definite favourites I would say every single MP map is balanced enough to be enjoyable... perhaps the only one that lets it down a bit is escalation but the sniper rifle at the base of the steps keeps it balanced rather well. I cant wait to see what other levels they bring out.

Hopefully they will bring out some more modes as well, a straight out deathmatch would go down well, not sure if CTF could be implemented so well mind but perhaps 1 flag CTF? Whatever the case every single facet of the game is high quality and co-op alone is a new benchmark that other devleopers need to take note of so perhaps we will see something similar in Halo3?

For GoW2 though... 4 player co-op guys... Nice!

Me and my friend started playing Insain mode last night. This is where its at guys. Although it is worth noting you should of finiished Hardcore and played a tiny bit of mutiplayer to get the hang of it first. I'm actually more impressed with Act 1 than I was originally, its a good chapter which doesn't get much attention due to the others (aka chapter 3).

Anyone finished it on Insane yet? I've done the first 2 acts with the aid of MJ, but I hear that once you've beaten it on Insane, you get a funky new gamerpic to show off your uberness!

Act 3 was my least favourite. Caves and space marines have been done to death.

Act 2 was great, with the impending doom looming if you went into the darkness. I'm going back through the acts again to do them on hardcore, before I begin act 4. I realised that after getting to act on the first day, that it was going to be too easy.

Multiplayer is awesome, and playing through the game in co-op if you can is fantastic.

I've almost completed act 2 on insainz. And I've heard the same. During both of co op sessions, I'll assume the role of the grunt, I'll just engage them and always have a lancer and shotgun on me. My friend though, Chances are he'll always have the sniper on him (and I don't blame him. tis a beutiful weapon) and the shotgun for

Wrethes or the annoying ones that explode

                                .

I agree with above, Act 2 is great and I love hte kind of adventuring through the darken city and having to help each other. I need to play through Act 3 again, I enjoy the beginning, but I just need to rethink the caves as I did enjoy them, just felt like something was missing..
