Ah, your ****ting me, they were bad enough on Hardcore, where you could get away with one exploding! What weapons did you go into that part with?

We were using active-reloaded shotguns. Get the timing right and they go down with one shot, get it wrong and they'll most likely land in your lap.

Shotgun seemed to work best, couldn't get them quick enough with the Lancer. Getting a perfect reload after each kill seemed to help, but it's really all about the timing. You want to get a shot as soon as you spot them, and then one when they're up as close as they can get without falling into it.

Insane wasn't all that tough to be honest, but DC and I had just gone through the game on Casual and Hardcore too, so we were used to using the cover system properly by then. I wish there was an even harder difficulty to unlock as well though, Insane doesn't compare to things like Halo 2 on Legendary. (although I only ever played that solo)

I really hope they release some new levels, or put up an expansion pack on Live some time though like GRAW; I don't want to be waiting 3-4 years for a full-blown sequel.

Yeah, me and my friend managed to do that in two attempts.

In the first section, its best to stay with the lancer and shoot them down at a distance, although as said above if you have a active reloaded shotgun that works too. Knowing how to use blind fire productivly is useful. Then when you go out into the open, you can shoot the enemys as a nolvety or just hide doesnt matter. WHen you ender the second enclosed area, switch to a shotgun or prefably with the active reloaded, and shoot the enemy on your left (whom will had a wretch with them as well) or the left (and a wretch will appear after). Don't bother fighting the Boomer, just duck.

Als concerning one part of Act 2,

When you have to drive the car, its pretty hard. Anyway I found this guide and when me and my friend did it we had over half our health by the time we finished it. Anyway, heres the guide:

Keep an eye on the church up ahead. When you get close, stop, switch, and fire your lights. Just know that if they make it to you they will only inflict
          some damage and leave. Continue.

When you go past the vehicles in the road you should stop and wait for Kryll
to pop out of the building to the right; and then the left; and then behind you
          in two swarms.

When you pass the crack in the road, stop, and wait for Kryll ahead. Then
keep waiting for more to pop up behind you. Then turn back around and fire to the left. Proceed.

Follow the directions Chap gives to exit off the highway. Turn left, turn right
and then be ready for a big swarm when you go under the bridge. Right, right,
          and back on.

Follow the turn, then wait at the next turn for the four small swarms in the
sky to the left. Then be patient and look behind for one swarm. Then wait for
the rapid-fire swarms to emerge from each window in the big building (its
still behind you so keep looking back).

Follow the road. After the ramp a bunch of small swarms emerge from above the open yard, so finish the last batch and be on your way. FUN!

What I like about this is although it is age old gameplay ie how to defeat a beserker it still seems damn tense and exciting. Running through on hardcore first and it is providing a suitable challenge! Like it.

              Got up to the

big ****er with all the bats

on Casual when I got an invite from a mate I was doing co-op with yesterday. Decide to join his game and he was at the exact same point as me - but on Insane

Arse was handed to me big style. I made some excuse about the girlfriend wanting to watch X-Factor and ran away with my tail between my legs

                Has anyone been able to

kill Ramm on Insane yet? Its really starting to p*** me off. I may have to get a mate to help me beat him. Its just a shame that ive got all this way on my own and cant do it. I didnt get stuck on a single part until i came up against this git. I just knew he would be a problem

Just completed this on normal. It could have done with another act maybe, but for the most part I enjoyed it (there were a few frustrating parts). As for the visuals, there's nothing out there right now (or has been announced for that matter) that even comes close. I lost count of how many time I had to pick my jaw up.

Just saw on the credits that John Dimaggio did the voice for Fenix, if you don't know he was the voice of Bender in Futurama

Anyone noticed that on Clocktowers the bell plays the Gears theme?

Just completed this on casual without too much trouble but hardcore is really killing me. I'm stuck on the bit in the beginning with the fountain, I can manage to close the holes but after that I'm surrounded and I can't find any good cover points, inside the foutain I just get shot no matter where I sit. Maybe I'll just play casual again, I was never any good at these type of games anyway.

You really have to get the grenade toss down pat to close the holes on the harder difficulties... learn where the holes appear and get a grenade in there asap to limit the number of enemies getting out.

Also on insane learn to blind fire, it is your friend considering the AI really likes to rush your position on occasion so you need to be ready no matter what and sticking your noggin out isnt an option sometimes. The best weapon for blind firing is probably the enemies assault rifle (forget the name) and the shotgun... in fact the blind fire on the shotgun is they are literally right on you is still an instant kill thanks to the spread, use it alot.

The magnum pistol is also a really good weapon. I didnt use it more than a couple of times in casual but on insane its a good 2nd option to conserving ammo and will drop a guy pretty quick from close range.

Love the game anyway, agree having to now wait for a sequel is a bit painful but I for one am really happy that MS has another major franchise on its hands that is every bit as good in SP as it is in MP, keep them coming I say... outside of R6 this is the best co-op yet, particularly as its completely seamless.

was hoping for a bit more enviromental destruction though i still also get this nagging feeling its just previous gen gameplay with next gen graphics
