    * See GOW thread.

I agree. Lets open our hearts and minds to it all.

But anyway, Terrorist Hunt sounds good, so that's all I needed to know.

sorry, should have made myself a bit clearer, i meant in the 16 player deathmatches

i have only tried local terrorist hunts, not online

i would also imagine that it isn't the same code as unreal has it's own network support in and taking that out and replacing it would be a nightmare. i may be wrong though

i should also mention how awesome the character creation stuff is

it'll be like chromehounds all over again, we'll all be recognisable by our individual character designs

you can spend ages just fiddling with your character and get them just right and then you rank up and get new items and you find that the balaclava clashes with your vest and the entire outfit looks so last year and you have to completely redesign your wardrobe

i swear these games with character creation stuff are turning us all into girls...

After reading the message properly, going back to character creation again, experience is kept but everything else is reset - the way it's worded and wrapped can make you misread it.

Face mapping also limits the outfitting available to you, in terms of clothing, so be aware of this if you use a custom face for your character.

Anyone tried it with the camera upsidedown yet?

Mine arrived today and it only shipped from VG+ on Friday 24 November, so that was quick.

Single player looks nicer than the demo, but it's a shame it's another Ubisoft tear fest. I haven't tried multiplayer yet.

Edit: I take back the tearing comment, it's not that bad in the game, just during mission briefings.

Damn! My facemapping looks nowhere near that good as the lighting in my house is pants.

You'd all best prepare yourself for Jaundice Spatial

I think Clans of people with different faces has huge potential.

A clan of people with Kiss facepaint on

Got this yesterday and had a play with the solo campaign. I would normally say it looks pretty and controls well, but the truth is post Gears it looks pretty mediocre and the cover controls feel clunky. I miss being able to dive in, out, and between cover, and the flat textured interior walls look pretty basic in places.

Has anyone looked at the achievements? They're really multiplayer biased. Not many for single player at all.

Yes, they're evenly spread through solo, co-op and ranked - there's about a third each.

The cover system is such a relief after Gears, I got really fed up of clinging to stuff when I didn't want to, especially in multiplayer and on the final boss running all the way to the other end.

By contrast I can hook up to the cover I want, exactly when I want - which is precisely what is needed for the game. The games play differently because they need to, the cover system in Gears wouldn't work well in this.

Since Gears I miss the S.W.A.T. roll, it would be really useful in this game. It's absent in Double Agent after debuting in Chaos Theory.

small point, and i'm not having a go, i'm just a splinter cell nerd, but the swat turn debuted in pandora tomorrow. you used it once in the training and then it was generally never used again

i've read the single player game got only 6 missions - whatever this means...

so, how long is the solo campaign in hours approximately?

oh, and is there an option to create individual clan/team patches for the outfits?
