Got 30 quid trade-in value for it at Gamestation, which probably amazed me only because I'm new to these high 360 game prices. Nevertheless, do it man!

I can sort of understand people feeling this might not have much more to offer in single player after finishing it (unless you're thorough). But the online aspect of this game has ensured that the disc hasn't been in it's box since becoming hooked to Post Grab.

Sold my copy on eBay last night for £31.00. From the little I played of the multiplayer it seemed good, but not as good as GoW's or CoD3's online play, so couldn't see myself playing it much. Definately a game worth experiencing though, even if not to keep.

While I do enjoy the game, it seems that as soon as those lava-based areas/missions appear, the game doesn't carry on the fine form the first 5-6 missions delivered. I still think that Wayne runs far too slow: why whenever he jumps does he halts for a brief second before you can move him again?

The forward (jump) roll is just not good enough during the busy heated encounters and even when you do it, Waynes pauses for a second before moving again.

I want to love it especially after the first 5-6 (snow-based) missions but the last half lets it down for me. As soon as I finish it, I will sell it so I can put the money towards Crackdown this Friday.

Lovely graphics and audio output though.

Its just a trade off though, I think these moments of vulnerability work much better online than in the Single Campaign, but overall it adds some character to Wayne - showing him stagger and stumble but pushed on by the T-Energy that flows through him. When you roll it gives you moments of invincibility but exhausts your energy and if you don't roll to cover it leaves you briefly exposed to attack. Considering you can jump from ridiculous heights and not take any damage at all warrants a slight pause while Wayne recovers. I really like the way they have handled movement, everything seems designed to try and make better use of Wayne's abilities - he is slow so use the grapple hook to get around, fastest route from A to B is a straight line after all when you use the cancel meth.

Bottom line though, the Mech's wouldn't be as much fun to use if Wayne wasn't built the way he is.

Good points SMS however, I just managed to finish off the last two missions and have come to a conclusion that mission 1 - 7 are of superb quality and changes the structure of the area/level design for each mission, which keeps the paces going throughout.

But as soon as you come to mission 8 and onwards where you are in the lava/volcano environments as well as too many corridors and bland metallic hangers thus I just feel that it goes downhill.

The ending is absolutely daft too, the less said about the 'story' the better. It is a shame that the cinematics are of incredible standards yet the dialogue and the messy plot that is all over the place lets it down: something that Devil May Cry 3 succeeded.

I have not played the online mode yet - apart from the demo, of course - but what and how does the Fugitive multi-player mode play like as I do not understand the general description about the game?

Has anybody done the Extreme mode yet?

You haven't read much of the thread, have you?

Go back a few pages for much amusing screaming, ranting and general "Ah-oh-God-bastard-I'll-do-for-you-****-****-****-AH YES, THIS IS HOW REAL MEN DO IT" carrying on.

I had difficulty with a couple of the bosses on Easy (yeah, I'm rubbish) so can only imagine what they're like on Extreme.

I've not even finished the Story Campaign yet, just get sucked straight into online mode - this either shows how good online is or how lame the campaign story is that its narrative isn't pushing me to complete it. Probably a bit of both.

Fugitive works like this. If I was to host a game I would be the fugitive and able to set how many hunters are chasing me and on what map and for how long and with what weapons. The game starts and I go and hide in a sneaky little area on the map waiting for one of the hunters to appear so I can cap them - I get points for every second I'm alive. If I get discovered then the hunters will most likely tell each other where I am (unless they are a bunch of 8 year-olds) and I'll get wasted earning the player who capped me some points. I then respawn and it all repeats.

Not had too many games on this but have had a couple of kills as a hunter. Its worth jumping in just to see 15 players spawn next to each other imo. On Frozen Wasteland its very pretty.

I have a love-hate relationship with the online aspect of this game.
I really want to love it (like Gears of War) but there are a few obstacles which put me off, in the form of:

                            1. Lag.
More or less everygame i've had with this has had varying issues with it. Like when the countdown tells me i've got 7 seconds until i respawn... cue me waiting for another 10-15 seconds after the countdown has finished.
Also happens when grabbing a post since the damn thing doesn't move for about 10 seconds or so.

                            2. Vital-Suit spawn campers.
Wow... how much fun is it when you just respwned to have these ****tards bearing down on you.

                            3. Energy gun & 4-shot laser cannon.
Ok, i've now kinda got the hang of combatting these cheesers (mainly just diving a lot) and have taken quite a few out with a machine gun afterwards makes it satisfying.

                            4. Network connection issues.
I've not had as many as these on Gears, where game dropouts are quite rare for me (only bug-bear is when a person drops out then it makes everyone waits until it finalizes the connection - a bit **** if you're on the train tracks on Tyro Station, when the train is ALWAYS on time ?_?)
But on Lost Planet i get 'Network Connection Errors' and 'Player has cancelled the map' when it first starts the game. This happens quite frequently.

Other than that, i do like the fact that the matches are quite crazy with explosions happening commonplace.
My favourite team game is 'Post Grab' with it being quite tense, with just a minute to go, from losing being a couple or so posts down to eventually winning.
Also games fill up very quickly compared to Gears, where on that, most nights it takes the piss even trying to get a 3v3 match.

                            What's a good game-type to level up?
I just want a the fast route to get the unlockable character skins.

From what I've seen, the best way to rank up is to host Fugitive matches so you are the Fugitive & then win! They always seem to get around 9000+ points each time. Trouble is it often takes a while for them to fill up.

Post Grabs are good for levelling, as well as Rifle rounds on Crimson River. I've had 15,000+ on those before. But, yes, there's an obscene amount of camping in VSes, enough to make you want host options to turn them off completely. Spider VSes are horrific to get rid of when they're sitting on your spawn.

The absence of assist scoring also grates, seeing as how you can do all the work nailing a mech, get killed, and someone else just taps it and gets the points.
