The thing with the cut scenes is that it makes it look like you can move much faster when skating but in actual fact you dont go much faster than the other mechs. You can just go for a bit longer. It is still the best mech for any situation I feel... the chainsaw on the arm is pretty good when you have a bosses weak point exposed. It is insanely powerful when you fight the

    massive tank boss

and are able to get in behind him at this weak point. Chain saw and shotgun in at close range means that boss is going down quick.

NEVEC 4-leg Mech, up the elevator after the laser droid run. It was so easy with the mech on hard that I can't even remember doing it.

That's if it gives you a mech. If it doesn't I might pack it in, cba with another 10+hours of 12sqm unavoidable nukes. Mind, I did finish him off on foot before and it sounds like Spags' running around the post glitch should still work.

That reminds me, the lvl7 boss features a clipping glitch where he can instantly teleport from one edge of a bollard to the other. It looks well **** and can **** you up badly if you don't see it. I've been aware of him being on the other edge of the battlefield when he'll just run over me from behind out of nowhere whilst I'm taking out his little bumboys with me going "Eh, how'd he do that!?"

I'll be recording some videos of me getting a severe bashing tonight so you can all laugh at how hard it looks.

Do you have to do him on foot then? He was the easiest so far playing on Normal...

Aye, that glitch is a ****ing pain. I'll be loading up a rocket thinking "he's gonna get it now" and then bam! The git crushes me from behind. >_<

Yeah, he's gone from being one of the easiest to the most deadly so far on Extreme. If only his little droid friends weren't there...

The difficulty is ****ing nuts. One more night of this and I'm going back to FFXI.

I try to keep his droids clustered and then take them out as soon as they all break formation as fast as possible and then they respawn at once rather than seperately to avoid confusion. This works until around the 30% mark when they start firing those massive rockets.

They form into a line and wipe one half of the field with rockets too.

The main dude also speeds up at 30% making it harder to get any distance between you both to fire a rocket off. I usually don't have any problems with him up until 30/40%. You have to also keep tabs on your rockets as you need to collect each set of six from either side of the field at some point which can be a death situation.

This mother****er is not to be taken lightly.

And of course you can't roll when reloading, not that rolling helps much against his nukes.

Crisps' technique of keeping his right side, with the plasma repeater, behind a corner of a wall works nicely until he starts jumping onto the vantage points for extra nuke piss-taking.

Anyway, you can all laugh at the vids tomorrow.

Surely F-Zero GX very hard was worse than this? Didn't it take you like weeks to do one race in Story?

Longest was mission 5 which took me 5hrs. I only spent around 8hrs on mission 7 before giving up.

                      Anyway...

                      LEVEL 7 COMPLEETO!!

Stuck to my 500yr old technique passed down the generations and blew him up him with the mech rockets when he was at 15%. Risky business ignoring his rocket bumchums for which I was quite lucky. That final rocket sent a searing white light of pleasure through my vision which then passed down my spine, pure euphoria. A true shot of videogame heroin like no other. I then went on to take the living piss out of mission 8 by completing it on my first go, boss and everything - for some reason the mech grenades took 50% health from him in one of my aerial blasts. That cocksucker went down first time, and he was one of my feared bosses too being the hardest (imo) of hard mode. Excellent stuff.

All followed by a cracking night of multiplayer with a full set of 16 of us having a right bash. Some fantastic revenge stories concerning both me and Boris that would make the final battle out of Metal Gear Solid look like a cat fight between two drunken slags in their 50's.

Up to the mission 9 boss now. Should be piss easy as it's mech a go-go (as long as you remember to pick it up which I didn't 1st time, having to restart IMO the hardest mission in the game).

Will hopefully have this out the way tomorrow night unless you don't get a mech for Mr. Metroid 2. Big nose should be piss followed by the obligatory big kick-off for mish elev.

Well got the game today and 5 mins after first putting it in was invited into an online game by Yoshi. Only got to play a couple of games but it deffo seems a lot of fun. I recall blowing up a Mech Dave was using with a rocket launcher, and just thinking awesome. Stuff like that always puts a smile on my face, looking forward to having more games.

Ah! So you're Teh Kingslayer! Welcome mate! Yeah, we should be on this for quite some time, well, I will be anyway. My #1 favourite online game ever.

Also, thinking about it, I must have been doing the mission 7 boss all wrong. There is no reason for him to be that hard.

Is there an energy gun on the mission somewhere? Perhaps you can 'un-man' that mech with it and take it up for the fight. Infact, I'm such a ****ing knob as I'm sure there is somewhere. ><

Oh well, I'm ****ing ace for doing it on foot.

I may import this one from VGP. But when I'll buy the USA Collector's Edition, will I be able to use the code to get the extra levels on a PAL Xbox 360?
The demo was wonderfull, I can't wait to play this
