I really like this game, I think its fantastic, but I can't believe that I'm up to Mission 8 of 11 after 3 1/2 hrs play. Bloody ridiculous. I'm glad I picked it up from Play Asia for a few quid less.

Just tried it and see what you mean about DMC - that was better than this though...unless I'm missing something clever...

No that's about it lol. Still something new to play around with while we wait for the game to load.

I used to destroy the load screen on DMC3 But yeah, its cute.

How do you kill the worm on Level 3? I've been trying to get the worm hunter achievement, but no matter how many of it's large number of yellow weak spots I pop it just seems to regenerate them over and over...!

When big yellow splodge and dramatic fall is displayed by worm, you've done it. It will respawn. Just kill once and make sure you complete the mission too.

The 6 weakspots on the head section usually does the trick. You'll know it's dead when the music stops.

Just finished this, pretty darn grand. Though there's lots of annoying stuff that makes me never want to play it again.

Like getting knocked to the floor and suffering an inescapable death from those bloody rockets. That was, soooo PS1.

AWESOME akrid designs though, loved Green eye and the level 10 boss, and the mechs were equally ace. Loved the tribal markings on 'em, and their animations was teh sex!

I'd have liked some God of War style boss mounting sections with the grapple hook, and therefore some QTE based moments.

Fun game, but I'm swapping it for Okami tomorra!

Played this earlier on in the week and despite my best efforts, I ended up quite disappointed with it.

Graphically, its amazing. I don't think I've ever seen such beautiful explosion or smoke effects in a game. And the shimmering blur of the lake in the second or third level - that was fantastic. Actually, visually this game beats even Gears of War in places; it really is good stuff.

However the control, the gameplay, the sound effects - they were all off. Why does my character have to get repeatedly knocked down before he can fully get up? Is that supposed to be fun? I don't think so.

The story was beyond ridiculous - I don't understand how Capcom thought any of it made sense. Doesn't matter too much I guess since that was never supposed to be the highlight of the game, but even so it just seems way too weird.

Will be selling this shortly and moving on to Double Agent.

An okay game I thought. Best things were the stunning graphics, imaginative, manga-like VS suits and excellent character design. The controls were a little off and, as mentioned above, the sound and story were mediocre at best. Worst though, and something that seems to blight most Xbox 360 FPS's, was the speed of the character. I'm sick of being in control of someone who just doesn't know how to run. Of course some will say Capcom did this to simulate walking through heavy snow but the character moves just as slowly during the indoor sections so it's no excuse.

When will developers start trading a little bit of graphical wizardry for an increase in speed? Soon I hope.

You actually believe the speed of Wayne's run is limited by the graphical detail?

The two are completely unrelated. He runs at the speed Capcom wanted him to, which is a pretty realistic speed.

Aye, the speed of the character movement felt okay to me. Quite realistic like KN says.

Unlike Dead Rising... Frank moves a bit too quickly in that, plus the animation is more basic so it doesn't really look or feel as convincing as Lost Planet IMHO.

I dunno, maybe you're right, but ever since playing GRAW (which is so pedestrian it completely ruins the game) I get the feeling developers are compromising speed for graphical finesse.

This game annoys me and perhaps the first game ever to give my hands major cramps.

On level 10, once completed, I'm so selling this.
