The hardest thing I found about Tatooine was dealing with the Sand People Chieftain, but it's perfectly possible to do it straight from Dantooine, just perhaps a little trickier than if you've had some extra experience elsewhere.

That's what I did. And yes, he was a right bitch.

I felt really bad when I switched off last night - a woman was trying to get me to buy something and simply wouldn't let me take it off her hands to sell it on for her and then give her the money (you see, I'm trying to be good). In the end, she pissed me off so much I just stole it off her. She's going to die on Tatooine now - I just know it

Plus am I the only person to almost always be low on cash? Maybe it's a light side thing... some swoop racing for me I think.

Thats the incident that made my character shift back to the light side. Up until then I'd been trying to develop a dark jedi character. But I just couldn't nick that thing off her. I wanted to. But just couldn't So I bought it from her and even gave her extra cash...

I just finished it today too. Great game. Im now tempted to play it through again only from the Dark Side as its suppossed to give a completely different ending to the game!

And pissed off - forget to save and lost about 2 hours worth doing stuff I'd rather not have to do again when I died in a freak Sandpeople / big **** off monster things attacking incident.

Bugger... I can't not do it all today either. I need to progress the plot!

By the way, how long did it take you guys to finish the game? And I know I won't have the time (or inclination) to finish both the light and dark side... I hope someone gives some good spoilerage and/or the ending movies in the next few weeks.

Tip - if you find yourself trapped behind something or someone, target and select (with A) something close by, you'll get through with no problem then.

Some spoilers for where I am at the mo, similar place to many posting here still.

Getting the Star Map

Finished Tat, Dat and Wookie World, now on Water World doing ma thing. I went back to Tat to finish off a new sub-quest which earnt me mega exp points, plus a bit fight which was due anyway.

Got this last Wednesday, put about 27 hours in so far

I've got the Dantooine and Tatooine Star Maps so far, trying to do Manaan now, as I can't find it on Kashyyk :/

A quick question though, what do you do with that Datapad some guy gives you in Tatooine? It has something about Manaan but i'm confused as to what it means

Having fun with the Force stuff, i've gone to the Light, now I'm going to the Dark, then i'm thinking of going back to the Light, in some cinematic type struggle :P

Only one big annoyance so far, I seem to have really pissed off Jolee, so he's not giving me any more info about his past, so I will have to have another play through regardless of if I want to or not :P

There is a guy opposite the entrance to the hotel\republic entrance with the name given on the Datapad. Ignore the M word, you'll find out what that means soon enough. You need to talk to him without your party there and he'll give you some interesting quests.

Do this only if you want to go to the Dark Side though. Which seems a bit odd, given that all of the contracts he offers seem to be on really bad people, so you'd think offing them would be something the universe would be happy with, no? I guess coldblooded killing, even if it's a really bad guy, is still frowned upon. Poopers...

My journey towards the dark side is complete. To do it this early was really hard, and actually made me cring sometimes, I was that nasty. Killing a couple of innocent Wookies should be fun, but it isn't.



Getting my ass handed to me by the Sandpeople atm. I need to level up more. Tatooine after 18 hours play = not wise.

My Xbox finally b0rked for once. I ejected and closed the tray and it seemed fine....apart from the fact that my time is now....

I find it odd that people are having problem with Tatooine as the first planet they visit. Its the first place I visited and didn't really have any trouble except with

And I beat him pretty easily by

Pumping my characters full of drugs - no medical ethics in this household. The one that adds loads onto your dexterity is really useful for your lightsaber wielding party members

I was away from Tatooine well before 18 hours was up! Although I am racing through proceedings rather with a view to revisiting for an expensive play of EVERYTHING the game has to offer

The Sand People Chieftain killed me many, many times before I finally did it. Basically, I piled on in there against him straight away - a few times this did the trick, but I got killed by his associates. Finally, I managed to off so fast he barely did any damage, so my still-fairly-strong party handled the others with ease!

This morning I decided to load it up just because there was something I needed to tie up, only to discover my guy was trapped behind Carth with no way of getting out. Grr. Means that save is b0rked

Did you try switching to Carth with the black button and manually moving him out of the way?
