Did you try switching to Carth with the black button and manually moving him out of the way?
He was on the Ebon Hawk. You can't switch when your on your ship!

      Anyone else have trouble here?

It's funny how different everyone's games sound.

Did anyone else go the diplomacy route with the sand people? A lot of people mention the chieftan being tough, but I didn't have to fight him at all.

hmmm, i found Darth Bradon to be quite easy. Me, Bastilla and Carth.

Edame - i ****ed up the chieftan, he was hard though, very hard.

              Doh.

I only got stuck once in that game, in the lower city cantina on Taris. I was running around talking to everyone, and tried talking to one of the musicians onstage. My character hopped up on stage next to him and I couldn't get back down. -_-

Actually, I was going to come on and comment that Kashyyyk was an incredibly easy world. Took me, Bastila, and the Wookie all of three hours to complete it and every side quest there was. I don't think there was one finght, including Bandon, that took me more than once. I breezed right through that world, leaving only Korriban left to go to.

                As for Bandon...

He fell easier than I though he would.

Oh, and is everyone stylin'? I now have Bandon's armor, plus my dual-ended purple saber, so you know I'm getting second glances all over the place, and I have Bastila in a blue Jedi Master's robe with her dual-ended saber in blue to match. Together, we are a SCORCHING couple.

I killed Bradon when returning to Tatoonie to help Bastila's mother. I found a little bug which meant I could get passed him without a fight, but I thought I better finish him off for the Exp. (if you leave a character some way back before Bradon appears, you can switch back to this character and the other two will follow, resulting in you getting passed him without a fight).

Took me two goes to kill Bradon, first time I got slaughtered, second time I hardly got touched. I think the key is taking out the other two Dark Jedi's first.

The sand people were easy imo, apart from the load that appear near the Sand Crawler - the entrance to the North (?). I didn't have to kill the chief, I got him to leave without any blood-shed.

The Wookie level was piss easy, as JRM said.

I?ve been playing for 19hrs, almost non-stop this weekend. What a great game! Not been this engrossed in a game for a very long time.

I think I?m very close to the end. I?m on my last star forge. I?ll be sad when its over but at least I can get my life back

One problem is getting dark side points is too easy. You got to be a nun to get light points.

Well, like Yoda said, the Dark Side is easier. It takes no talent to be bad, no character. Good is what's hard.

Some PR about how well the game is selling...

LucasArts? Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, a new role-playing game for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft, has flown off store shelves at light speed in its first two weeks of availability, selling more than 270,000 units. The game, which debuted July 16, set a new record for Xbox game sales, selling through its initial allocation in its first four days of release.

In addition to record sales, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has received unprecedented critical acclaim. According to GameRankings.com, the game?s reviews have thus far averaged 94.8%, making it the 16th best-rated game of all time, the second best game on Xbox to date, and the highest-rated RPG of all time across all platforms.

?LucasArts is extremely happy that fans and media have reacted in such an overwhelmingly positive way to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic,? says Simon Jeffery, president of LucasArts. ?The game clearly has conquered the North American market and we?re certain it will perform just as well when it launches in overseas territories in the next few weeks.?

?Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is the first role-playing game for the Xbox platform to be connected with such a huge and successful license and we?re certain it will drive a great deal of volume going through the holiday season,? says Robbie Bach, senior vice president home and chief Xbox officer. ?The game is off to the fastest start of any Xbox title.?

?Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is already the best selling Xbox title of the year,? says Pete Roithmayr, vice president of merchandising/video games at EB Games. ?The game has exceeded every expectation we?ve had and we?re very confident the strong sales trend will continue. It is certain to be one of the best selling Xbox games in the platform?s history. Simply put, LucasArts has produced another great game and it is obvious that Xbox owners know it!?

?We?re truly honored by the overwhelmingly positive response to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic from fans and press in the Xbox community, and we?re working very hard on the PC version of the game to bring a high quality experience to the millions of fans of previous BioWare PC RPGs,? says Dr. Ray Muzyka, joint chief executive officer of BioWare and co-executive producer of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

All I have to do now, Star Map wise, is Korriban, only i'm finding those conduit things very confusing :/

It definitely seems to tailor difficulty to where you are in the game. I did Kashyyk before Tatooine, and Kashyyk was a doddle and a half - I annihilated that pack of dark Jedi for example, without breaking a sweat.

Now, on Tatooine, the first band of dark Jedi were about three times more powerful (still whupped them, though )

But the Sand People are really hard. Grenades won't work - the little buggers are too sprightly across the sand. I'm having to use stimulants and all my force powers to take out that band of 7 you face by the Sandcrawler. I don't remember Anakin finding it this tough to waste 'em

Anyway, point is that they must be the designated hard pack of the planet. On Dantooine it was the Mandalorian pack, and Kashyyk it was the dark Jedi/ritual beast. It's very clever, the way it tailors the difficulty to your level.

I figured, "Oh ****, he's about the eat my lunch, say goodnight Gracie, game over." But, he didn't. In fact, I whipped his ass within about ten seconds both times I had to face him. Sure, I had to do a quick injection of battle stimulant and strength stimulant, but then it was just a couple power attacks, and it was over. Earlier we kept running across room after room of Dark Jedi and Dark Jedi Masters, and we ran through them like a hot knife through warm butter. They can barely touch us. I'm so impressed with how well we're doing.
Anyway, that said, I figure the end battle is going to be a doozy. Can't wait to finish it.

Oh! And for those who are wondering what Force powers are good to have, I cannot recommend Stasis Field enough. Cast it in a room full of baddies, and they all just lock up, allowing you to take them out inside of seconds with little to no fuss. Bastila uses it constantly, and it makes ALL the difference. That, and Heal. Gotta love 'em both. Whirlwind is a hoot too.
