        "Hey, Jedi Bill?"
        "Yeah?"
        "Wanna see what's round here?"
"Na, I'll sit here and hope the robots die before I do."
        "Ok."

Heh, how'd you know my characters name?

Here's me stats for my lightsaber:

Damage 12-37. To Hit +29 (left) +31 (right).

          Damage: Energy, 3-28. Critical Threat: 20-20, x2
On Hit: Stun 25% chance, 6 seconds, DC 10
          Attack Modifier: +3

edit: awesome - clocked it as you know who. Why are there no Star Wars smilies?!

I just got to Manaan and I'm currently using 2 Light Sabers - a nice yellow and green effect, I'm really chuffed with the game so far. I'll never underestimate the power of stimulants though. I was losing to some Elite Sand People, and I decided to use strength/dexterity amplifiers... and I won with ease... Great stuff!

            My stats are as follows:

            Left: Damage 9-23. To Hit + 13
            Damage: Energy, 5-19. Critical Threat: 19-20, x2 +2-12
On Hit: Stun 25% chance 6 seconds, DC 10.

            Right: Damage 9-28. To Hit + 17
            Damage: Energy, 5-24. Critical Threat: 19-20, x2
            Attack Modifier +4

            My Character:

            Jedi Sentinel: Lv 4
            Soldier: Lv 8

            Vit: 148
            Force: 68
            Defence: 35
            Str: 18 +4
Dex: 16 +1 (does that seem a little low?)
            Con: 15 +2
            Int: 10
            Wisdom: 13 +1
            Cha: 10
            Fortitude: 13
            Reflex: 10
            Will: 6

To be frank... I don't really know if that's good or bad... I've kinda been going on the age old... the bigger the number, the better the character understanding...

I've been doing fine so far. I've not had any real problems with battles or anything... I am thinking that I need more Dexterity though as I'm starting to miss more than I'd like to... Can you guys offer some suggestions... What do you think?

It's all down to personal preference and the kind of person you are but I never increase Constitution above the basic balanced '-' level. Strength (to a lesser degree as gauntlets help out here), Intelligence and especially Wisdom and Charisma are my more favoured attributes - the bonuses with your Force power rolls and ability to persuade people successfully are far more useful to me than Constitution and Dexterity. Who needs to bother with Dominate Mind when you can talk a Hutt into giving you bonuses without abusing the Force (and getting an earful off Juhani/Bastila)?

Oh, that's nice. I just walk into the Sith Base on Manaan, slaughter the lot of them, get the droid information... stroll out and I get put on trial. I'm thinking: 'what the hell?' So, I tell the truth like my mother told me to: that 'I broke into thier embassy', 'killed them all', and that 'I'm on a mission to wipe out the Sith from the galaxy.' Then the bastards give me the death penalty...

How nice... But seriously, I don't quite understand, I thought it through. If I went into the hanger where the cameras are turned off, and take thier ship and get into the base that way, then no one would know it was me, as there would be no witnesses (of course, they were disposed of first!) Well, anyway, the evidence against me was that I was 'seen entering the base'. Damn set pieces...

Those bastards and their 'nutrality laws'. I should be allowed to brutally murder who I want, when I want... I CAN'T WAIT TO BE DARK SIDE! Bastialla is talking to me, saying stuff like: "Wow, you love the light, I can see how you are following the cause." And I'm just standing there agreeing... Bastilla's blabbering on about how she loves me and all this ****, but deep inside, I can't wait to replay the game again and sell them to a slaver for 5000 credits!!!!

                ---

I've found a nice compramise now. I have this kick ass upgradeable armour from that merc on tatooine, and whenever I go into big battles I use stimulants to give me a nice dexterity boost. Otherwise I'll use Jedi robes to quickly deal with small threats, or maybe a nice balance of + 6 armour and +3 dexterity...

I think that it's working well.

Dark Side = Mucha money. Almost as much as the swoop racing...

I love the new evil guy. Gone from light side character with my real name, to bad-ass Juno Verlarni. As yes, I did play too much Jet Force Gemini.

"Yes Yoda-a-like, I will follow the light [giggles]" It's also an eye opener going through the game after 'The Event' that defines the game, where you realise the light side ain't exactly squaky clean, and other such stuff. 'The Event' is also something I won't spoil here.

                    Hi,

Picked it up yesterday morning. Well all I can say is that it's nice to have a game that keeps me up half the night for a change Been a while.

Couple of nuances with the title but I'm sure it'll open like a flower once I hit the right spot. (Changing characters to get one out of the way when pinned into a corner is a poor example of coding/testing/publisher-deadline! Graphically weak in places too - yeah I know that beauty is only skin deep, but if Ferrari can manage to do both then so can everybody else )

Anyway will no doubt be trawling through this thread over the next few weeks (if my attention for the title lasts that long), although with Ico sitting in the PS2 it's gonna be a bit of swap-and-tickle

                    Regards,
                    alan m

PS: Then why am I sat reading the forum?

That's Taris for you. I never understand why the worst places are always at the start, like Midgar in FFVII, and rubbish old Taris. All the good stuff happens afterwards, especially when you get good old HK-47.

And yes HK-47 is one of the best gaming characters of all time

I would have felt guilty, but I was wearing a fancy robe and looked mint, so it was a case of "Malak...Bring it ooooooooonnnnnnnnn!"

Moodmon, didn't doing what you suggested too early on in the conversation actually cause just the opposite? If I'm remembering correctly...

I could be wrong on that though. It's been awhile.

Isn't it down to how high the charisma and persuade is? Absolutely vital skills, glad I statred with 16 charisma on my second run through. I haven't even needed to pick force persuade yet
