I've ran out of free time so I can't play any game for more than 5 minute spurts however, when and if I do get some time off I'll definitely be playing this again.
Still if anyone hasn't got it yet I'd look into it if I were you.

Played through and finished this, initially got a bad ending due to

, then reloaded a previous save to go on and finish the game properly. Enjoyable game, despite numerous little bugs. I couldn't suss out that railgun-type weapon though, didn't seem to hurt any enemies? lol

Should have done, I was able to kill any enemy in one shot.

Maybe I had a bug then... it would hit objects etc, but I could shoot any enemy at any distance (even point blank) and it would do absolutely nothing. Enemies with railguns could severely injure me though, obviously

Funny, i've never had any problems with the game. I'm on 1.0001 or
something like that. Is this patch ok for saves ? Could find any info if
it corrupts them...

1.0001 saves work fine on 1.0003, you'll only be unable to use them if you've been playing 1.0000.

Picked this up for about 7 quid in game, I recently bought a new PC and decided to find some missed gems. And what a gem this was. It has alot of bug issues ie instantly spawning enemies right infront of you/missing NPCs for a couple of minutes but this definitely felt like a proper PC game.

It treated you like a bitch for being one, a tough as nails game which I loved from start to finish. Not really too keen on the story though, I never did get to do the ultimate mission in the game?

Doesn't matter, absolute bargain gaming to be played, looking forward to clear skys prequel!

To access the last two sections and get the 'true' ending you have to do certain side-quests along the way, which will result in you obtaining an item to open the locked door within the power plant. It's a shame if you missed it, as the last two sections adds about an hour to the game and do look rather cool.

Anyway I agree, fantastic game despite the bugs (although a lot were ironed out in patches). Can't wait to play the sequel/prequel.

The problem I had with the side missions is that they were just too far away from the trader/barkeep.

I couldn't justify running back and forth like a total lemon. Nevermind, I don't getting the ending I got

I must've missed the bit where you find out you're strelok, but he wishes for the zone to dissapear but then during his moment of freedom, his eyes turn white and it's game over. Bless him

Looking forward to clear skies, hope they sort out of the issues such as the side missions taking about an hour to get there and back per mission. slight exaggeration but after a while it does grate on ya.

I remember there being a certain enemy called The Illusionist that you encountered in a particular area of the game. The initial clue that he's near is that phantom dogs would start appearing and never stop coming, and it seemed that if you ever actually ran around and found the Illusionist, the game would crash! Does anyone know if that still happens?

Hmm I remember seeing those illusions but I never found the guy causing them. I think i'd played it so much in a short space of time I just wanted it to be over.
