I've just had my first play of the game even though I've had it for the last month or so.

Now I'm fairly rubbish at the first game (still stuck on 'RSG' on Hard) but this seems a bit easy even for me so far. (In fact, I've just come from the first game so the difference seems startling.)

So far I haven't found the stories that endearing either except maybe for the school choir one.

reason i'm still bashing my way through on hard is because i can skip the intros. it's the reason i'm not too interested in finishing the first one properly (getting the cheerleaders, etc)

Recently finished Ouendan 1 with S-grades on all difficulty levels (far easier to do than in EBA, imo). I bought Ouendan 2 a while back but left it until I'd finished Ouendan, so I'm now playing it.

Clearly, the front-end/presentation and in-game mechanics have been considerably inspired by EBA, but it's still quality nonetheless.

I haven't got too far into the game as of yet - about 5 stages completed on Beginners level at time of writing - and the new tracks that I've heard so far haven't captured my imagination yet, although I guess you have to give them time just like in Ouendan 1. That said, I'm absolutely loving this track - I can't get it out of my head!*

* = (...though I still think that a fair portion of J-Pop is kitsch/cheesy! )

Thanks to some save file goodness i no longer have to try to get my cart to japan to download the EBA character skin for my game.

Nothing mega essential but its a nice extra to see your ouendan cheerers looking like EBA hehe.

The save file is on gamefaqs, looks like someone in japan got the data then used their ar to extract the save file & now thanks to them i no longer have to think of methods to get my game to japan

I thought that you'd say that, tbh.

I went to GameFAQs and found the saves as well.

I'm certainly gonna have to invest in an Action Replay for my DS now!

You'll need the old version (AR max) as thats the version that lets you back up & restore saves. The newer (ARDS) is just used for cheating only.
