the review was fine other than complaining that the easy/normal modes are two easy, and that the story bits aren't as good as those in the first game.

when a review has a go at the music in a music game, i won't really pay it much mind as you'll either love or hate the music anyway.

imagine playing a music game if you don't like the music! it's why i don't play my beatmania and drummania V, but love ouendan, dj max, etc.

A couple of the stories aren't as easy to decypher...... There seems a lot more text, where the panels don't visually show what is going on as well as the first -- the one that springs to mind is the one with the Potter from the first where his, I'm assuming, daughter in law to be, has to cook meals for him?

I'm currently stuck on Hard on the old guy in space level, I can get to the final panel, but it's a toughie....I've grown to really love the song though I've played it so many times ^_^

I'll regroup myself and give it another go....... Osu!

The gal quits professional wrestling to marry the four-eyed guy (always in background - it's a somewhat stereotyped weak-willed man) who runs a typical japanese inn with his mother (the gray-haired woman giving orders around). She has to prove her worth in being able to run the inn in order to recieve the mother's blessing for the wedding. The Potter is a costumer of the inn, probably very hard to please and he's used as some sort of test for the ex-wrestler girl.

Didn't have much time to play last night, managed to complete the two 3 person stories (though the male one I did first attempt, the female one took me 4 attempts to get past the first section... after that, fine, how strange!) and unlocked the third bonus song which I beat on all three levels open so far. Another wierd one, some mobile phone text message guy delivering the words cos the silly phone owner dropped it down the drain!

Anyone know which song is on that story? I like it, especially the start.

So just got the last song on Hard to go now...
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

Wow, haven't unlocked that song. Is it points based?

I really don't know how you can like the music in Ouendan and not the stuff in Drummania, it's mostly the same licensed artists that are in both series i.e. Asian Kung Fu Generation, The Blue Hearts, Road of Major and Orange Range etc and as much as I like DJ Max Portable on PSP it's really just a cheap imitation of Beatmania IIDX both in terms of music & gameplay.

Favourite story in Ouendan 2 so far would be the one with the werewolf, I was like WTF!? at the end of that one.

like i said before, i'll like specific songs but that won't mean i'll just like everything by the artist/band, or the genre itself.

the drummania V music isn't the kinda stuff i'm into really, and my beatmania's the old psx one and i just didn't get into the music. also it didn't have taisetsu na mono which is what i liked playing in the arcade so couldn't practice that at home.

and don't get me wrong, there's plenty of songs in dj max that i don't like

Anyone noticed that the guy in the skating story (the manager, or something) looks exactly like Bob Fossil?

I got the original songs for this game now, and I must say the covers seem of a much lower quality that the first game. Except Monkey Magic, I actually prefer the cover of that

Fookin' heck... I didn't realise the closing credits tune from J-Drama Densha Otoko was in this!

                      Is it the final tune?

Monkey Magic is a cover of a cover... What's the reason for using covers? Is it just cost? or is it licensing problems?
