If I see you about today Brats I'll get a game with you - should get on this avo for a bit !!!

One thing I should mention - If you like manual gears (like me) it's a nightmare with the pad - I'd have liked either "X" and "A" or "X" and "B" for up/down gears but the twats have defaulted them to LB/RB and when using LT/RT for accell and brake it can cause severe hand-spaz !!!

With the wheel that goes away obviously and me long fingers were OK for reaching the A button to boost !!!

Also, having said that, it's one of those games where manual gears is less of a matter - I actually considered switching to auto just so I could concentrate on boosting and smashing **** up

Nice achievements in this too - unlocked quite a few yesterday and they all seem doable without requiring grinding (except maybe the xbox live ranking ones).

I've seen you Yoshimax on some leaderboards. Always slightly above me

This game is super addictive. I woke up at 6:30 to play before work

One other thing that's relevant but not mentioned :

NO RELOADS WHEN RESTARTING A RACE

Indeed, it's such a relief after the 10th time of getting destroyed in a single player destruction dergby

The AI is super aggressive, I love it

Sorry not sure what you mean about reloads when restarting?

When you hit restart to start a race over it doesn't reload - It's something a lot of people find quite irksome and only recently with this & DiRT has it been avoided !

Played for 60 minutes earlier and it is very fun, graphically great and not seen any slowdown yet, Yoshi is above me on the leaderboards also lads. Initial cars are quite slow but sure I'll soon sort that. AI is quite tough, even from the start.

After two weeks of Forza & Dirt nice to have a completely different type of racer to play.

                  Indeed!

Eventhough I was setting some ok times on Forza I wasn`t really enjoying it. Arcade racers are more my cup of tea and Flatout delivers.

This game wasn`t on my radar at all until speaking to Yoshi yesterday but I`m so glad that I picked it up and for just ?30 too (ASDA).

Played through all of the Stunt games and they are great fun. I got stuck in the single race mode menu and after 3 hours of hammering the limited number of tracks I`m thinking "why aren`t any cups unlocking?". D`oh!!!!

Managed to find my way to Flatout mode and had my first race (which I won) and then watch the replay, proper comedy!

This game is ace and if nowt else will tide me over for a week until the Darkness arrives!

Which is it? Any more reports? Does that winky signify a modded machine?

I've been after this for a while and don't fancy waiting for a US release, which Bugbear tells me is in "Fall".

Played some more this avo - Was having trouble with the big level 2 derby till I bought a better brief - now it's all good

                      The stone-skipping minigame is fantastic

Is this developed by the same people as Burnout? As it very Burnout est from gameplay to the graphics.

Nope, this is BugBear and they're Criterion but it does feel very burnout from the moment you turn it on.

Not a bad thing, of course. Good to see they recognise great games and used it to make another one themselves.

this is fantastic, the racing is spot on from the first level and the amount on screen being thrown around is amazing.

agree with eurogamer that there is the odd physics glitch which is very noticeable due to how spot on so much of it is.

                            highly enjoyable so far.

                                They are an attractive bunch.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'm in the US, so I'm going to have someone drop by ASDA and mail it to me. I am not waiting 2-3 months to play my UK friends online!

                                Very helpful. Cheers.
