Ive beaten story 1 on Normal and Hard, but why isnt the next task opening up If i have to beat it on Very Hard to get to the next stage i think im going to cry

You have to buy the new stages. Once you beat a stage (normal) you can buy the next stage.

Go thru the menus like this: Customize, F-Zero Shop, Items. Story 2 will be available. Buy it. Then when you go back to story mode you will be able to select story 2.

Story #3 is defitnely the easiest to complete on v.hard. Although saying that i haven't quite managed it yet. A couple of times this evening i was just edged out on the line. I'll try again tomorrow.

Finally completed Story #2 on Very Hard last night. Once you know the line to take its fairly easy.

Story #1 Very Hard is a different matter. Just can't do it. Anyone managed it yet?

I've now completed Missions 2 and 5 on v.hard.

On mission 5 I zoomed out of the exit-shaft with "TIME OVER" and "MISSION COMPLETE" on my screen at once. LOL!!

I felt like Lando at the end of RotJ! LOL!

They're both really easy actually, it's all about following lines.

Came 2nd on v.hard mission 3 - I know the line, but I'm sure I'm being cheated on the final straight. ft:

I'm now stuck on mission 7. Only had a couple of goes though at 4am this morning - just before I went to bed.


Oh - I came close on v.hard mission 1 also - I got so pissed off with missing just 1 beacon after around 20 attempts that I just packed it in with anger. ft:

Speaking of F-Zero anger management - does anyone have a phrase they shout out loud when they either get cheated at the finish line or fly off of a course? At the moment mine is:

Is it story mode that unlocks everything? And if so, do you have to do it on V.Hard to gt the unlock? If so I think i'm gonna cry cos I find em very frustrating. Much prefer GP mode.

Only done a few with decals so far - I havent even started buying the parts yet! I've bought all the drivers and am playing story mode.

Been messing around with it a fair bit, I love the names it generates - currently have a ship that looks like a rocket and corners like a pig, but it's called Shock Snail G4. Which is ace.

I've built the Energy Sword-Z. It looks like a pap version of the Sonic Phantom.

It's coloured in to look like a Zoom ice-lolly (claret boosters, orange body, and yellow cockpit). I might make a 'ZOOM' decal when I have time to waste.

I only ever use it for the Vegas Palace 1 time attack - I might need it for the Master Class though when I finally unlock it.

EDIT: DOES ANYONE HAVE THE ACTUAL PIXEL DIMENSIONS FOR THE DECAL EDITOR? THAT WAY I CAN DO A DECAL IN PHOTOSHOP AND THEN 'DOT IT IN' ON THE GAME. CHEERS. Sorry for the caps!

Btw Dave, how do you beat Story #4? I've tried god knows how many times and I still can't destroy Chain's ship...
