I'm not too keen on the Advanced Shot method since I prefer and enjoy using the traditional method as it is more comfortable and laid back but other than that, this is rather lovely to play.

And blooming heck! What on earth is that 4770MB game utility save doing for this game!?

Not tried Advanced shot method, still getting to grips with everything else first.

20 minute installation upon first inserting the disc is a pain yes.

Im only using Advanced Shots now, i find them much more interesting to use than the Traditional ones.

I don't find the advanced shots any more difficult than the traditional one. As above though, I do find the advanced method far more enjoyable to use.

For anybody who has both versions, what did they end up changing from the Japanese release? I tried the UK demo and the music was different, but that might just have been a demo thing. The rest of it seemed fairly untouched other than the obvious language change. Are the characters and courses and whatnot the same? Does it have the Japanese downloadable characters in it (I'd guess not)?

Agree with this aswell. It just seems more of a joy, i don't know what it means by advanced though. I do love putting some spin on my shots aswell.

I was also stuck on it till 4am last night myself and that was just the single player, i dread to think what would happen if i played it online. Im just unlocking everything first before i tackle it.

A few new objects on the courses in the PAL version (wooden horse for example)
Removed the amazing clapping bear (I think they have anyway)
A few new variations of lobby outfits for online have been added (eg. boat!).

Courses and characters are all the same (bar name changes) and there's no DLC for the western versions yet.

What sort of DLC should we be expecting? Hopefully new courses to increase its longevity.

Two new characters so far and a course (Oceania Resort, set in Australia) is due at the end of April.

Thanks. I'm trying very hard to stop myself buying the UK version, but I doubt I'll last very long.
