Played Demo for about 10 minutes and it is nice,
but I will pick it up after New Year due to limited budget (Due to car repairs, season ticket and paying for computer) and 1 game month limit (Halo 3, PES 2008, Call of Duty 4 and possibly Assasin's Creed for Dec). But I will wait to see how what the feedback are like first.

Perfect imoh just what I wanted, first race was ok but stuck road tyres on in tropical and it clicked.
Put them on in canyon and my music on random, Africa by Toto came on and I had one of those perfect gaming momentsgetting this on ps3 next week 100%

on the plus side i'm loving the way you can sling cars around and take bends
can see that it doesn't look that next gen though, looks like an xbox 1.5 game.
pretty good but not sure its a £40 job for me, may keep my powder dry til it goes to half that especially as the early reviews say the 1 player is a bit lacking in length.

Sometimes I feel people are hating on updates because they don't fit with their nostalgia, (the good and the bad bits). Still... I haven't played the demo yet.
I do think this is a fun game overall, but I doubt I'll bother buying it, and it sure ain't Sega Rally.

Undecided on this. Cars feel way too light for my liking and handle more like something out of Burnout. Odd.
Second shorter track on the demo is much better than the first, but neither are that exciting. Will give it a few more goes and see how i feel.
Definitely 50/50 with it at the moment though.

That's my moan over, now how many enimies have i made.
My stance is that there is a minimum acceptable frame rate for each genre. With a slow moving game, say Blue Dragon for example, the distance the geometry moves between each frame is very small, so 30fps is not a problem.
However, in a game where the geometry moves very quickly, say, SEGA Rally Revo for example, a 30fps update looks juddery and completely destroys the illusion of fluid, life like motion. Can you imagine OutRun 2 or Virtua Fighter 5 at 30fps?
Also, I just played the canyon track again and realised how totally overblown the deformation is. I'm sure they want to make absolutely sure everyone sees their hard work, but come on, it's like racing through chocolate ice cream!Last edited by Kotatsu Neko; 17-09-2007, 18:42.

Just tried out the demo and am really impressed by what I`ve seen. The mud deformation works really well (better than I thought It would) the cars handle well and are fun to throw round corners like an Arcade racer should. Graphics look really nice aswell especially the tropical track.
Overall a definate purchase for me on release day.
