Does anyone else get slight hangs/ pauses (which last about a second or two) then resumes back to normal, when they're just skating along?
I'm thinking most of them happen when i skate to a new district, and it's just loading up the new area.

Any other people having this problem?

Lastly,
when controlling the pro's have like different attributes?
like some have better ollieing skills?
some better at vert?
etc

What version are you on, 360 or PS3? The PS3 has some glitches when it's displaying line details but other than that it's nice and smooth - I certainly haven't noticed any transitional problems.

And I don't think the pros offer improved attributes, the main point of the game is that what you can do is all down to what you can do with your two thumbs.

Had a good online sesh with "the ch33se" last night, just mucking about in the Mega Centre pool and on some rails, trying to figure out where exactly you get scored. Managed to pull off a few good tricks.

I notice them every now n then too. Doesnt bother me though.
And you are correct regarding the reason for this according to a few reviews I've read. It is to do with the loading up of a new area.

What a fun game! I played the PS3 demo last night and I'm really impressed. The controls do take a bit of getting used to, but they make sense, are sure to come naturally with some more practice, and do actually make you feel like you're in control. It also looks wonderful. Bring on the full version next week please!

I'm doing this sponsership one (for boards) at the moment for some P-dog bloke - 360 nollie flib and ride the hubba?!?!??!?! WTF I just don't get what I'm supposed to do - I guess the trick but other than that it leaves me too it? Anyone know what I mean? Anyone help?

You're not alone mate, I'm **** at this too. I'd prove it, but I haven't got a resolution out of EA for uploading my vids yet.

I'm just having fun skating around new areas and seeing what I can do with them. In fact I find myself picking spots out in real life at the moment... and I've never skated in my life.

Most of the top rated videos on the reel are all of various burns anyway.

I've uploaded a couple of vids but I can't find them at the moment due to the aforementioned problem. They're OK, but I don't land one properly and in the other I miss a jump (And accompanying trick) from grind to grind.

it took me a while to do this, we are talking like 3 hours, first you have to learn how to do it with the trick book, then land it on to a grind, and its a faffy control system imo.
