Mine has frozen only once.
Though, now recently it seems to take an age when loading my profile/ saving game/ loading replays, which doesn't happen all the time. Also just odd bits, like no music audio when returning to the title screen, or loading up my clothes selection screen.
Annoying and jarring nonetheless.

Other than that...
I love skate!
It's just a game where you can just mess about in San Vanelona for ages just finding great lines to skate, gaps to clear, little niches to find to skate in, without having to do the challenges.
Though i do agree with an earlier comment about the races, as it's just an annoyance where randomness could ruin your run. Whether it be a conveniently placed car driving in front of you (which wasn't there the retry before) or the other racers knocking you over, which when that happens, they always seem to re-spawn quicker, and accelerate quicker away from you

But other than that, quite possibly my suprise game of the year.

Mine sometimes takes a while to load, but I put it down to haveing a profile full of photos and saved replays which it loads in too - as you can access them from in your backpack etc.

Doesn't worry me at all tbh!

It takes a while to load normally, but were talking about reeeeally long load times here - the disc goes quiet like it's spinning really slowly or starts ticking for me.

GGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Online battles are completely screwed. EA servers just don't work. You sit there trying to join for ages and can chat with the other skaters but it never loads. It then sends you back to the sidekick. Every now and then it just boots you off the EA Nation. Even though Live is still working fine. How frustrating.

Yeah, that's exactly what that GAF thread is reporting. I mean, we kind of knew it was coming, but I honestly thought we'd be made aware that the game was going to do it, before it actually did.

i was just rolling around in the suburbs yesterday and had 5 pink simpsons game adverts on screen at the same time, just as i was forgetting it was an EA game etc blah blah

I guess expanded draw distances can have their downsides too...

Today it's Gillette Fusion razor blades. However I never would have noticed them if someone hadn't pointed them out. I had to go up to them and look to see what was on it. Big fuss over nothing tbh. Unless you are standing still, you won't see what's on them and who stands still in this game? Anyone spending money on adverts in this game is throwing their money away.

I'm having all sorts of trouble at the moment, the only thing I've got to do are videos for thrasher and the skateboard mag. Sadly the 5 or so I've got left are bollocks hard, do a 15m grind etc. :/ Any tips/good locations for those rock hard videos? I'm really struggling with the last few I just want to get on a mag cover!

For the long grind ones with huge points (I'm at about the same point as you btw), find a good downhill stretch with not too many trees on the kerb. get grinding downhill and remember to flip into and out of each grind. Chain them together, get the multiplier up and it'll soon tumble.

Also I STILL can't get any joy from EA re: skate.reel. When I sign up for a new account I never get an email notification of linking my gamertag, I don't get an email when I upload any footage (apparently you get a link to it?). I've also found that I probably have an old screenname, but can't seem to get the password for it. I've tried the 'lost password' link, which should email it to me, but guess what, no email!

Gaaaaaahhhhhh!

Does anyone know if there's an unusual naming convention for EA classic logins (like 'must have a capital letter and a number' or something.)?
