You don't get an email when you upload footage. You just go to http://skate.share.ea.com/ and login and press "find my vids" but to get there you have to have received the new account email....

That's the only email I did get, the very first one when you sign up.

And for the naming thing, I meant for passwords

1. Go play the skate demo and upload a photo or vid.

2. The first time you do this, an email will be sent to the email address you used when you signed up for your XBOX gamertag.

3. Open that email and click the link it gives you.

4. Come back here and login to find your video!

So what do you do if the email addy you used to sign up you cannot access any more? Since Microsoft won't let you change that yet, they've told me on the helpline they are looking into allowing it.

How can this be more difficult than the way they do Fifa 08...both EA, Fifa works easily...is this more difficult?

On the EA homepage it even says "Welcome ADCOOK" ffs.

I just went online for the 1st time. Mixed views for me. The freeskate was a good laugh & S.K.A.T.E. challenge eventhough my connection failed just as I was about to win. I was on 'S' he was on 'T' bloody typical eh!
Tried the race challenge thingy & couldnt even finish the courses because the grabs werent registering & my flip would f**kin flip! My personnal opinion, but I think some of the tricks were too close together meaning that the next direction came up too late i.e. basically when your in the box.
Jam sessions were alright but ppl kept knocking into to me & while I ended up on the floor they seemed to escape unscathed.


I posted up my 1st replays on the other thread a few days ago(Youtube style because my EA acct aint working) if anyones interested

If anyone is still having problems with:
- long-ish loading times, when loading profile/ entering shops/ various load screens
- clothes taking ages to appear in your list

Clear the cache by loading up at least 4 different games (to the title screen) and then exiting the game.

It seems to have worked for me so far.

Well I was blitzing this tonight, did a load of challenges that were annoying me plus I've beaten all the pros now woot woot.

Just a few thrasher challenges then I can finish off the spots

For people having problems with the EA site, could be coincidence, but babs got it to work finally and the only changes he made were filling in the "state" field in his live profile on xbox.com and using opera....

Yeah, this is my run of the events to get my skate reel login working.

Sign up on EA.com - no problems here, profile made. Upload footage from Skate. - I was confused as to why I didn't get an email with the link in to watch it, but it seems noone gets it.

Here's where I ran into problems. When I tried to link my gamertag via the EA.com profile 'personas' area, the email to confirm it never arrived. I tried so many different things; different browsers, clearing cookies/temp files, checking spam filters, checking old email addresses just in case - nothing worked.

After several wasted and pointless to-and-fros with EA support, I tried once more in vain today, and noticed that on my Xbox Live profile (accessed via the xbox live website - nothing to do with EA), under billing and contact information one of the required fields - state - wasn't filled in. The only thing I've done differently today was to a) fill in the state field and save my profile, and b) use Opera to link my gamertag again. I'd already tried Opera before though so I'm not conviced that was the trick.

Of course it could just be that EA fixed something and it's working today, but worth a look nonetheless

I just tried as well and they finally sent an email when I linked my tag. Didn't change any details on the xbox profile or anything. I guess they just fixed their mailing system.

Played the demo of this yesterday. I played Tony Hawks 3 a few years ago, and whilst it looked cool when other people played it, I totally sucked at it. Unlike THPS I could imagine getting really good at this - I like the way it's really simplified compared to the lunacy of that other series.

The controls are so completely opposite to all other games that it makes it very difficult to get going, but I'm sure it's just conditioning, rather than an inherent lack of intuitiveness.

I've hammered it this morning.

I've got the front cover of both mags and done the 2 X-games challenges. I still need to do 3 film challenges to pretty much do everything but they are all no-skate zone ones. One of them is to get 5500 points!!

Can anybody recommend a good area for this?

I've not scoped them out yet. I've been mucking around online too much. The plaza has to be a contender though surely? Lots of grinds available.

I got the icon racer status today. And the 6 online wins in a row. Very satisfying.
