Just completed the single player, really enjoyed halo 1 but missed out on halo 2. Gotta say, I wasn't overly impressed. My main gripe is that I hate fighting the flood, its no fun to me whatsoever, and just becomes a long pointless slog. Yet, bungie insist on making you fight them. Didn't they learn from the library level in halo 1?
Apart from that, decent fun, especially fighting the scarabs or walkers. Still, failed to live up to the immense hype, Gears of War is just much more fun.Comment

I clocked it (on Normal) on Monday night.. Didn't mind the flood stuff too much, just generally pegged it past them.
Cannot believe how think I was though. I stumbled across 2 of the skulls and couldn't figure out how to pick them up.

I actually really like the floodgate level (just finished it on my Legendary co-op run through) but I think they should of left it there with the flood. That level is nicely atmospheric, and especially at the start of the level looks absolutely gorgeous, and it is just the right length that the flood is an interesting change to fight, without getting irritating. Can't say the same for Cortana though, which is just wrong on all levels to me, and I'm dreading having to plough back through it on Co-op !
Really recommend if your playing on normal to switch it up to heroic. Played on normal for a bit last night just collecting a few skulls which I missed, and it is an absolute walk in the park. Really misses allot of the more tactical and outlandish play that you need to use on the higher difficulty settings.Comment

When you go back to this from CoD4 multiplayer it feels a bit jerky and not very smooth. After a few games I find you adjust to it though. Is this to do with the fps?Comment

Yeah, it's because COD4 is 60 FPS and Halo is 30.

I had a quick blast to compare last night (tried to hook up with Yoshi), and the difference really is noticable (but isn't a problem). I actually found myself headshotting people quite alot more in Halo.Comment

Currently playing this on Heroic and it's a lot better than I expected. Its basically what I wanted Halo2 to be really.
Really pissed off tonight though as I was near the end of level six which seemed like a really long level and I didn't save it
So yeah can't fault this game at the minute

Something has happened, I've suddenly become much better online! I reduced my control sensitivity down to 3 after a discussion with some friends and me and Fry owned 19 out of 25 double team games we played!

I'm only trying to force myself to adopt the bumper jump control scheme, it makes so much more sense have the most important controls accessible without moving your fingersComment
