Except for the fact that at least 3 of the other guys couldn't actually drive round a corner. So they choose Enzos and Murcielagos, blast up the straights overtaking me, then come a cropper at a corner, literally not even trying to brake. I'd overtake them, but they'd just fly past me on the next straight. Or having got past them and holding them off, they'd just launch in to me at a corner and take me out.

Is there a trick to finding decent online matches not inhabited by twats?
Don't think so, probably the same twats that played PGR3 too.

To be honest, the online component of any racing game has the ability to be abused and have THE most disruptive players on it. When you find a game with like-minded players its one of the best things ever, unfortunatley those games are few and far between. Thats why shooter's are so much better online, doesn't matter if you are a twat, you just get shot more.

little off topic but thats what made flatout so great online, that type of racer can't be abused.

not tried this online yet but got pretty fed up with pgr3 as just dind't work for me for the reasons mentioned.

did some online bulldog races last night really really good fun.

cant see anything about it in this thread so for those that dont know the whole city is unlocked like a free roaming mode and 7 people start as a hare and one as a fox. the fox has to tag the hares. and once a hare is tagged it then becomes a fox until everyone has been tagged. something quiete exciting about being the last hare left and having 7 people chasing you.

I had my first go of Bulldog on the weekend. You're right, Astra, it is cracking fun.

I haven't had the problems online with PGR that others have mentioned. I do mainly play with folk on my friends list though. Mind you, I do sometimes forget to turn for corners.

Is there no way to upload photos which weren't taken whilst connected to Live? I don't understand why Bizarre wouldn't include an option to upload ones stored locally whilst you browse online. Am I missing something?

Does anyone have any tips for the final in the second to last chapter on Arcade mode using bikes? It's the full nurburgring ring in reverse and it seems impossible to even get to third. I seem to end up losing five places as soon as I touch a blade of grass.

Live is full of people who just want to piss around.

What I do, is be patient, look around, hope to find some decent people, and then eventually I build-up a friends list of people I know I'll enjoy playing against.

I hate people who mess around, just as much as the people who take things too seriously. A middle ground of having fun, but accepting defeat with grace, is what I look for.

I always wondered this, but does it not take it from the environment your 360 profile is set to? i.e. Underground, Pro, Family, Recreation etc... ?

My advice would be to complete that particular stage using a car. Don't know if you know this but you don't need to complete every event with both bike and car to complete Arcade mode, just using one or the other will do.

Loving this so far and like the split between career and arcade modes. Just did the delorean 88mph achievement tonight for a laugh. Looking forward to getting the caparo t1 later in the game.

I was a complete solo or split screen gamer during the Xbox era and missing out on online PGR2 was a big regret of mine.

However after completing arcade mode and getting used to the control I ventured out onto the online world in PGR4 tonight! It was quite a disapointment. Everyone was ramming me off, slamming into corners and being quite unsporting about the game.

However as I was racing propley I easily won all three matches I entered, even after being spun and them being in vastly more powerfull cars.

I wish I could find some more sporting people to play against in this, was PGR2 like this?

Welcome to Xbox Live. The sad fact is the majority of players will do whatever it takes to win, even if it means being a twat.

I love this game and would go as far as saying it's my favorite so far on the 360.There is however one small flaw and that is the online matchmaking. It seems to take too long and is dominated by everyone wanting to do ranked matches to collect Kudos. Whilst this is good and at times you can find a good room with a good crowd it is very hit and miss.
I personally have had a lot more fun hosting a room on non ranked and keeping everyone together, it then has much more consistancy as everyone agrees on tracks and vehicles, anyone who is messing around gets booted and if everyone is bumping there way to victory then it's easy enough to turn collisions off.

Just had the computer totally spag my car up in the rolling start. Granted it was a Chrysler Sixteen Concept and it's throwing it down, but even still...
