    Apparently so.

I know people who've ordered the Headcrab and got it.

Does the Valve store ship to the UK?

It is an excellent book, by the way. The bits on where they got the faces from and what the voice actors actually look like were some of my favourite parts.
Yeah, but they charge $27 for International shipping.

I found portal quite relaxing for awhile, but now that i'm re-playing it on the other options like the least amount of steps. I have become so frustrated... I doubt i'll ever get the achievement for all 18 challenges on gold, silver and bronze.

is it just the 360 version that has achievements or is the PC version linked to windows live?

That still doesn't make ?49, even with Customs being their usual jackbooted selves.

One of my favourite parts of the whole Half Life 2 series so far is during the driving section when you

have to go under a bridge on foot. The first time you set foot onto the railings the way the music starts subtly and you get a loud rumbling with the trains going above and the way everything shakes around you.

It sounds like a very small, silly thing but it gives me goosebumps every single time and sounds amazing in 5.1

The PC version has achievements but they're just Valve own version of achievements and have absolutely nothing to do with Windows Live. Confusing and rather cheeky, but there you go.

It makes me wonder when theyre ever going to intergrate these Windows Live achievements into more PC versions... A real shame as they do add a little bit of extra fun if you enjoy a game.

Windows Live has been a total dud on the PC so far with few devs adopting it. I'd put money on it being another failed MS venture unfortunately.

Check back and make sure that all the advanced levels have a tick at the side of them to say youve completed them, the first time I did the first two i turned the game off, came back later and it said i hadnt done any.

                      Yet another bug I guess.

I played Team Fortress 2 for the first time earlier and my first match had some erratic lag problem unlike anything ive ever seen where the game seemed to be controling my character for me, the second time I couldnt move, and the third time no one in the game had any weapons!!!???

Finaly got a game on the fourth attempt, heh.

People should definitely pick up raising the bar if you're a HL2 fan. It's a really good book which gives you some excellent information about the games development.

I got mine when HL2 was first out, they weren't selling so it cost me about a fiver or something ridiculous.

Sorry this thread is huge now and a bit much to go through but did anyone get peggle added when they bought the Game on steam? not a bad little game to pplay whilst the rest downloads, It sure kept the cats entertained too!

Just finished the last 2 Advanced levels and the last one had me screaming my balls off in anger. They've confused themselves, the word advanced does NOT mean "Relies on luck based on extremely fiddly and dodgy controls".

The game is superb I'll admit but those last two advanced levels made me suffer purely because (the last one especially) demanded you to be so ridiculously acurate with your portal jumping. I think I died and reloaded (and jesus did that reloading bar get old quick) about 40 times on the last section.

Is it ever explained why the lass can only jump about a foot?

Hasan, the advanced portals achievement, like everything else on this package needs patching because it's buggy. You have to do all six in one go. I had 3/6 completed then though "I'll come back to em another day, don't wanna rush it"...but no...when I came back it still said 3/6 but when I did the fourth one, it didn't unlock. I checked the "new game" section and they didn't have the silver tick to say I'd done the previous ones, I had to do all six in the one sitting just now to get the last two achievements for them.

Also, whenever you boot up any game within The Orange Box I'd recommend going to "My Achievements" so it asks you for the storage device. Once it didn't ask me for a storage device, I was gladly playing TM2 and nothing was unlocking, because it hadn't asked for my storage device, so it started unlocking stuff within the game I'd already unlocked.

The Orange Box is sublime but the most buggy console game I've played in recent years.

Maybe its just the engine or somthing, its the same with half life 2, infact I think saying Gordon Freeman can jump a foot is probabaly being kind.

Yeah, it's the same across all the games, rather confusingly you can repeatedly jump to increase your speed across the ground, but to call it a "jump" at all is rather a stretch
