Venom, have Valve got rid of the load screen between the G-Man character intro and train station in HL2 which was present on the Xbox version from the 360?

Hardly the most pressing issue but it created a bit of a disconnect as you started.

From what I can remember, there doesn't seem to be any loading at that point.

I haven't played the original xbox version, but I don't think that's true as the water and lighting effects do look next gen.

Nope it's the PC version, it has HDR lighting and all that nonsense.

I'm curious too - they were supposed to have rolled back the HDR and other FX from Ep1 across the original HL2. Has this happened on 360? Or PC for that matter?
