Its not my cup of tea, but I didn't like the PS2 games that much. They play like an American Saturday morning cartoon.

Does look really, really nice though. If you liked the PS2 games you will love this. Must admit i'm not sure why people have issues with the visuals, its one of the nicest looking ps3 games so far.

Regardless of what they said in the development interviews I still think the sixaxis stuff is the usual tacked on rubbish though.

I'd agree that it's tacked on, but so far for me it's been the most well implemented Sixaxis controls I've played so far (Super rub a dub and fl0w aside)...it actually responded properly!

I really liked this demo and I never liked any of the previous R&C demos. There was more variety, fun and interesting ideas packed in this one. The graphics are some of the best I've seen, a lot better than I was expecting based on the trailers and screens.

I though the sixaxis bit actually worked really well, better than it would with an analogue stick.

The graphics really stood out when I went into over the shoulder view (hold L1).

I enjoyed the demo and think it looks lovely [...must not mention Pixar... D'oh!] but it still doesn't scream AAA title at me.

I actually quite enjoyed the grinding sections as well, though I just hope they aren't over-used during the full game. The 1Up Show Review has certainly upped my interest but I'll probably pick it up post-Christmas rush.

Same here, played demo through twice, looks great and does exactly as it should but not a genre top of my favorites list.

I thought this looked great even in SD although I think it needs HDTV to get the most from it...or at least a bigger, brighter screen than I own.

I've never played a R&C game before so the closest comparison I can make is the specific area sections of Jak II. It all seems solid enough and I did enjoy it (bar the plummeting through air traffic Sixaxis bit) but there are other games that take priority.

Will be interesting to see what Insomniac come up with next now they've got a fair bit of experience with the hardware.

Exclusive: First-ever Resistance: Fall of Man 2 details.
Insomniac Games is indeed developing Resistance: Fall of Man 2 (no, not Rise of Man, as some people have created) tentatively scheduled for release next November. Aside from the first and last level, the game takes place entirely in the United States, where someone who may or may not be Sgt. Nathan Hale (who plays a role in the story) has to deal with the Chimeran invasion of the US in such places as San Francisco and Chicago. And there is a cliffhanger ending that sets up for a third title. Vehicles will be included in multiplayer this time around, one will be able to take to the sky with three new vehicles or boogie it down on the ground with the three vehicles from the first game's Campaign.

                          Lol exactly what I thought!

It doesn't explain how the girl who surfs that nobody has ever heard managed to get an exclusive with them while the rest of the world had to go without.

Maybe it's due to her surfin' skillz, or even her girlin' skillz!

Finally got round to playing the demo today. I was on the fence about this game, having never played any of the previous titles in the series, but it truly is excellent.

It is just pure fun to play, everything seems incredibly well thought out. What does the groove thing actually do? I assumed it was a weapon, but it just seems to create a disco dancefloor. I wasn't near any enemies at the time, but I assume it distracts them or something?

Graphically, I thought I was in a cut-scene at the start, wasn't until I moved the analogue stick that I realised it was in game. There didn't appear to be any framerate issues and if this is an early build as we are led to believe, I can't imagine how good the final game will look.

Thanks to the demo this has gone from wait and see to definite purchase.

just grabbed the demo from the UK store and its brilliant.

to me its the first thing since launch that looks like its really using the ps3 hardware and is programmed for it.

graphics are amazing, detail and draw distance is huge, incredibly detailed character models and rock solid gameplay.

definitely the best demo so far on the ps3 and i can't wait for the full release as i think it'll stand head and shoulders above the selection of lazy ports and average launch titles we've been fed so far on this machine.

                                fantastic stuff.
