Brilliant! Just thinking about that planet in the cold light of day - there probably is a decent route round without losing a life.

Once again brilliant game design - putting the little bee shroom there to tempt you into being lazy - thus making the game harder!

ha ha, cost me about 25 lives to work it out but its basically made up of loads of triangles that you can run round and snake your way round the whole thing.

i hadn't even thought of wearing the bee suit !

Seriously though, has any game on here had this level of praise? I know lots of games have gotten us all really excited but this one seems to be for us. Not one of us has managed to explain why this is so good. Zelda tried to do everything but missed the magic ingredient. Mario has shown us that Nintendo still have it in them to drag gaming by the balls kicking and screaming!

Just hunted the level down there to see it for myself, 2nd try I done it! Just followed a path running up one section then down the next, and so on, until the end, one section I must have done wrong as I had to make a huge diagonal jump but just managed it! I'm sure there would be a way to do it without jumping once though, I thought I had the technique apart from that one single jump I had to make.

Done it anyway!

Loving this game still, so much variety in the levels!

I think RE:4 had a similar level of praise - enjoyment and discussion about general brilliance. The first play thread was massive as well.

Oh, something else I love is how the cute Toads seem more witty now... And their little grunts when you jump on their heads always makes me smile

This game is extremely good, tho at points it has frustrated me greatly, tho i believe this is because i suck at it, hands up. the camera has screwed me a few times and ive dissapeared behind broken polygon objects twice, no biggie but it has happened.

Not the alltime super masterpiece, but pretty swell. I dont like the main hub much to be honest, not as cool as it coulda been.
