I didn't really have many problems with the ray or the ball underhand, to be honest if I use it overhand I cant get my hand to tilt to the right much at all. Underhand gives you much more control imo.

I think one of the best things that can be said of this game is that even when I was at the 110 stars point, I was STILL finding new parts of the game that I hadnt seen before. Perh?ps it was just due to the way I had chosen my levels up to that point, but even so, to have a game that keeps you wanting to play so much right to the very end...it is quite an acheivement.

Wow! How good is this game? 30 stars in but taking my time.

Whoever is waiting until christmas to play this is going to have a very special time indeed.

This game looks so beautiful using the component cables.

I've been using the standard cables that came with the Wii because at the time I got my component, I didn't think it made much difference - Which was probably down to using Zelda as a benchmark - what with it's dark and muddy colour palette, I honestly couldn't tell much difference, and on my TV the VC games would go funny through component.

But Mario looks STUNNING, I really noticed the difference - Hyperbole maybe, but it doesn't look far off 360 looks. Beautiful.

Finally got 120 stars last night, with levels

Luigis Purple Coins and Battlestation's Purple Coins

holding me up big time, and I couldn't belive

I had to save the princess again but I found it much easier this time round

and at ten to three last night I finished the game, joining Portal, Bioshock and Super Paper Mario as the only games I've actually finished this year.

What an amazing game, defeniatly contender for game of the decade and game of the year no doubt, despite the unusual amount of high quality games this year. There are a few things that annoy me about the game, certian things being underused mainly, and I miss
but the underuse of features does not detract from how near perfect this game is. So is it going to be a 5 year wait till the next one ?

What a great game. I'm about 30 stars in now and it just keeps getting better and better.

As said before it looks like a 360 game over component and the hub structure works so well for opening up and presenting new levels.

This feels like a true 3D platformer, not an adventure game. Nintendo really pulled it off again! W00t

Are there secret stars on every "normal" planet? (the ones with three stars)

So, should I be searching each planet for a hidden star?

I don't normally care about flashy graphics, which is exactly why I'm 'into' the Wii graphics.

Not only on Galaxy but Prime 3 also, the solidarity and integrity of the art design stands above pretty much anything I've seen on the other consoles. Everything is so solid, defined and pretty much perfect. Prime 3 is absolutely saturated in perfect textures, by perfect I mean actual art realisation thrown around by the devs. not just super-duper uncompressed textures.

Every planet that have three stars

really have six. One is a secret star, and two of them are comet stars, though one of the comets you can't play until late in the game

Completed the game a second time

                        using Luigi

which, thankfully, wasn't nearly as difficult as I anticipated and, in doing so,

unlocked the Grand Finale Galaxy and access to the 121st star but, to be honest, they're the worst Galaxy/Star in the game and are scant reward for the time invested in collecting all 120 stars with both Mario and Luigi. Those working towards the 121st star who do not want to know what the secret galaxy is should NOT read the spoiler below.

                        The

secret galaxy is basically the game's opening level (Princess Peach's Castle grounds) and the star involves collecting 100 purple coins. It's a really small level with lots of invisible walls which leads me to assume it was included in the game at the last second. Rubbish.

Charlie, couldn't agree more. I did this the other day and

I wanted to jump in the lake and there was a flipping great invisible wall there. Twas a bit of a disappointment considering I hadn't seen another invisible wall in the game at all.

Felt a bit dead inside after it was done, what game do you go to next?!?

I know, niggles aside, it's the best game I've played in years time and, as you say, it's really difficult knowing what to play next. Saying that, my Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition arrived this morning so I hope that will keep me entertained for a while at least.

                              Hi

Yes I knew about that, what I meant was, is the secret star just hidden on each level, so I just have to search around for it? Or do they not appear till later or something?

Im 18 stars in and finding it interminably dull at the moment. There is absolutely no challenge whatsoever. And the fact that you can only get the star you are going for (unlike mario 64) makes it pointless exploring the levels.

Actually, one level I really enjoyed was rocky road. That was great fun

Please tell me it gets better

It gets better but, if you're not enjoying it early on, I feel its unlikely you'll enjoy the later levels/stars either. In regards to the so-called secret stars, they only appear under strict conditions (i.e. comets being in the vicinity, luigi going missing etc.) so don't bother searching for them
