I do apologise though if I have been sounding like some sort of fanboy with some of my responses, especially since K&L wouldn't even be near my top 20 of the year. I just take being told my opinion sucks very badly and get annoyed very easily about it.

So apologies to anyone if i've been a bit of a dick as I certainly don't mean to be and get a bit too passionate (afterall, all we all want is good games!)

      hmmm

I and my brother are at the beginning Jungle Level.

I've just read the rest of the posts here and did have the thought of coming here to backing up the game, but scared now

As the game goes on, I'm starting to think is it that bad? or the people playing just thick as ****?

I admit the controls need alot of work, the control system is not tight and there is plenty of work needed to the game.

But some people have posted here saying the cover system is dibolical, the hitting enemies is like shooting a spounge etc.

I've actaully exerinced dodgy going ons, but nowhere near as bad as everyone says.

Even that Vault part, my brother struggled to do it as Kane, I was lynch.

So i said pass me controller and i took em all down near enough 1 shot each......

It has its bad momemts don't get me wrong, some are too bad to even say but its actaully not as bad everyone goes on to say.

I find my self addictive to keep carying on to get more story and see what the next style of level is.

THe orange jump suits are good, the story and just gameplay levels are fun.

The shooting is not that bad, the cover system is **** but I don't think its meant to of been the strong point of it.,

It works near enough 98% of time for me, so not sure what u guys are doing.. must be trying to use a street light pole for cover or something .

It needs alot of work and fixes but no way is it this bad, I'm enjoying it and I really am a fussy gamer... too fussy tbh but I like this.

Also the graphics, yea some sotimes it looks as if someones used a bunsen burner on the players faces and stuff but at other times i've actaully thought "**** me, what ntsc users talking about this looks pretty dam awesome!!!".

I'm liking it, not loving it but liking it. And its something diffrent for a change than all this mentsl sci fi, god mode shooters.

      Really cool.

Its worth a buy when it goes down in price, or even a buy now and exchanged later.

But I serisouly think its a game everyone should experince and gsee if they like it or not as its "EACH TO THEIR OWN" on this title.
      Like Marmite.

Either hate it or like it.

For this guy.. He likes it!.... Quiet alot.

P.S Gaming wise is worrying, people rave about H3 and yes it rocks.. for multiplayer side but the campaign was something that brought nothing to the tables, im having more fun single player wise with K&L!

Let the flames begin I suppose..........

£30 on trade today, I almost fainted with joy.

I won't write any more, it appears we have a Fahrenheit 415 situation for my posts in this thread.

Completed it today with my brother.

Blimey, i presume they plan a series of these otherwise that was the ****ist ending I've ever seen in a game.

Cheesy, No actual explanation or proper ending and just darn stupid after all that I went through.

          lol

          jeez

              And so you should...
It's not nearly as bad as some people are making out.

It makes me sad that this game is getting such a bad rep, I mean it's not ground breaking but its far from sh!t. If you look at the game's good points and accept it for what it is, I think people would find it quite enjoyable.

IO have tried to do some new things, with the game being really story driven and the level design reflecting the fact. The game has some of the best dialogue, voice acting and direction I've seen - up there with the likes of MGS or HL. Some of the graphics aren't great but the style and setting doesn't help. There is a good range of locals tho.

Also, there is a completely original online mode. Sure there are only 4 maps but at least they're trying to give you something new!!

I think this game is a real diamond in the rough, similar to the likes of things like PN03. It will be a pity if like them this game fades to nothing because some people couldn't enjoy something slightly different.

10 points (or should I say stars ) to the person who can tell me which other game characters the guy who does Lynch's voice does.

              It's a me, Mario!

                There's 2 endings...
They're based on the decision you make at the end. They're both short but get the point across for the decision you made.

We had no decision at the end?!?

                  Was a awesome game though!

Got a lot of mixed reviews. Is it sort of Headhunter:Redemption-type game?
                    Some like it, some don`t.

I loved Headhunter:Redemption. Just trying to decide if K&L is worth it.

So far I wouldn't say it was as bad as people have made it out to be.
The atmosphere and Story are pretty cool so far (only up to the nightclub) but controls and Glitches are pretty nasty.

The actual gameplay reeks of averageness so far, but I'll see how it goes.

The decision comes on the 'choice' mission, you either

fly to saftey with your daughter in the chopper at which point the game ends or you go down to the village and rescue the men (note: doing this gives you a new mission - 'consequence')

Just played a Handful of games of the multiplayer with Bleeders, it was pretty fun. Certainly makes a change from the usual by the numbers deathmatch mode tagged onto games of this ilk.

You choose a Scenario, Robbing a Bank, Robbing a jewellery store etc and you all start off working together as a team, you have to fight your way through some AI characters collecting money as you go, you can escape the level at any time via a getaway car which periodically drives past, money is then shared between all living players at the end of the game. The twist is that at any point your teammates can kill you and make off with your share at which point they become traitors and your other non treacherous team mates get bonus money by killing them. When you die you take over one of the AI guards and you have to take down the robbers, collecting any money left behind which you get to keep a percentage of, this is also a nice chance to get revenge on the bastard who betrayed you.

Got up to Cuba playing on Hard - anyone who's past that level or finished the game can probably guess what had me giving up in a fit of screaming at the screen. Nastiest. Difficulty. Spike. Ever. What makes it especially infuriating is that if Lynch would only use the ****ing rocket launchers it'd be markedly easier.

It's an odd game. Broken and half-finished and overly simplistic... but when it gets close to working, God, you feel so frustrated imagining what it could have been if Eidos had let Io have another six months working on it. Bits of Tokyo are fantastic, and the story certainly has its moments - the construction site was surprisingly effective for such a gaming cliche.

Six out of ten sounds about right to me... nothing lifts it past "above average", or alternatively there are way too many things wrong with it to be able to properly appreciate the stuff that's at all special. But it's far from the trainwreck some people are claiming.

Finished this off in the early hours, and honestly, I didn't find it half as bad as everyone made it out to be.

Yeah, it's glitchy, above-average at best, but when it works, it's fun. I saved myself the frustration of going through it on Codeine or Morphine since in my experience, these type of games don't lend themselves well to difficulty spikes. However, it did provide a modicum of challenge in the final third, notably Havana and The Village, arguably the game's weakest points.

There certainly were a couple moments that I really quite enjoyed, namely the Tokyo Mission. Through a decent 5.1 setup, this stage sounded superb, like something out of the opening salvo on the original Blade film. The enemy AI holding the torches with their firearms was a nice touch as well. A particular memorable moment on this was towards the end of the level and a throng of baddies running over the glass ceiling only for me to shoot it out beneath me thwarting them in one-fell swoop.

The problem with the game at points is the spurious nature of the AI and whether you've been detected or not, so you are privvy to either failing a mission of being killed by bullet glitch. Although I did find you could push on and force invisible checkpoints, which sometimes become a necessity in order to progress. I won't even begin to imagine how frustrating this would be on the higher difficulty, which ordinarily, I'd play through.

I found this better than Stranglehold, tbh. I reckon because of the Hitman traits littered throughout the game (it's like they lifted the AI from Blood Money and plonked it right in here!) The online as EB mention is different and quite fun, co-ercing over Private Chat, when to kill the other two members on our team and run with the loot.

Not a great game by any means, but certainly not the worst. It had it's fleeting moments, but the well documented problems with the glitchy AI and final third rear their head, mainly for me with the latter, because it doesn't seem to "fit" within the game world we're being led through in the early going.

                                New Hitman please, IO.
