Rock Band (360/PS3)

Is anyone else finding that the DLC is actually extending the longevity of the game for them? First time I've experienced it to be honest, since with GHIII I pick up some DLC and maybe play it a handful of times, but with Rock Band the DLC makes it a whole new game somehow.

And I can't get anything like a complete song going on Expert Drums. Aiming for double figures percentage complete, then I'll work from there

I play the DLC more than the standard set of songs these days. I've downloaded everything that's been made available which is about 60 songs now so it's like having a sequel stored on the HDD. I just wish they'd hurry up and put more than 3 songs up a week as well as the albums, really want to play Who's Next and Nevermind asap.

Not so fussed about Who's Next, but I can't wait for Nevermind. Territorial Pissings on guitar will do the job for me...and um...on vocals.

My bloody guitar is broken so I cant play until they release the guitars in the US and I can import a couple.

The only thing that irks about Rockband is the drum lag on the freestyle fill bits other than that, it made my PS3 worth buying. The ultimate party game bar none.

If it's the strum bar that's not working, there's a real easy fix using a couple bit of tape. I did it when mines stopped down strumming and it's working fine now.

ive already modded mine once, this time something bad has broken on it. its shagged. tho I hear april for the new guitars, so I can wait a month.

Just ordered a decent metal pedal mod and drum pads to make things a bit quieter. Having to have my TV turned up to max is making my neighbours come out with pitchforks. Will post impressions when I get 'em (not "Look, this is one of Margaret Thatcher" type though.)

I just imported it for my xbox ntsc console over 2 weeks ago now..

It arrived in the uk on tuesday and has been sat in bloody customs ever since awaiting charges, i even had today off to play on it but it never turned up..
Been like a kid at xmas counting the days refreshing the parcel force page every 15 mins for a up date..

Im a true lover of all the guitar hero games, but rock band looks the mutts nutts...

Rumours of Activision trying to hold the patch up via legal means on PS3 (to let you use a GH3 controller)...

Not a good day for Activision as they just announced finally that their is a fault with Wii GH3 playing in mono so remastering it and doing a replacment program early next year!

Im just downloading the Black Sabbath pack from marketplace for play next week when Im not 100% bedridden (done way too much recently).

But I read the wired PS2 GH controllers 'do' work on PS2 Rock Band, is that correct?

Yep any account on machine works Steve whether its USA/JPN/UK profile and it finds all the songs no matter what account you bought them on (its not like Singstar as thats tied even though you can play on a USA account the downloads you cant use the online bit).

I don't get it, I have an EU PS3 here with an US Rock Band. I need to make an USA account to get to the Rock Band DLC's, but then it doesn't accept my credit card because it's not an US card. How do you guys do this???

Downloaded the whole Judas Priest album, it has some of the best guitar charts in the game so far. Screaming for Vengeance, Riding on the Wind and Bloodstone being particular standouts. The Motley Crue track is also incredibly fun on guitar.

Downloaded it too but ended up getting stuck pricing a job and now it's too late to start playing. D'oh! Ah well, looking forward to going through it tomorrow.

The Hellion/ Electric Eye is also great. Never thought I'd have so much fun with Judas Priest and Motley Crue's music

If you have two guitars for the PS3 version, do they need separate BT-dongles or is one enough?
