Don't worry Boris, I felt the same then it clicks and you are fine, takes a couple of hours till you "get" the new button layout (slightly further apart imo) and then BANG - much better

As for the drums, have done the first 25 songs on hard now - I just cranked it way up and forced meself to learn by trial and error. It is BRILLIANT fun, the only problem is the doubles on teh foot pedal are literally killing my ankle!

    GotY.

Oddly I found the new guitar to be a dream, I don't know if it's the guitar or just the chart being easier to read, but I've been finding it much easier and nicer to play.

I think I'm already going to have to do a drum fix of some kind, it's annoying when it doesn't count very blatant hits, the 'penny' fix seems to give the best results, seeing as I have an EL kit.

      Awesome game though

I think I need to do a fix on my EL as well, the green pad seems to be the worst - I'm assuming you just stick a penny in the gap right?

From what I've seen online, the most common way is to tape a penny/other small coin over the rubber pad in the bottom of the drum, some people tape another to the bottom of the sensor under the pad too. Have a quick google, there are youtube videos showing it too.

I'm loving this. Had the family playing it over the bank holiday and it was a right hoot. Easy mode seems nicely aimed at people with zip all experience too, which is great. Even my seven year old daughter could get 75% on songs she'd never heard before on Easy vocals.

Loving the song line up - much better than the American Heavy Metal ****e that dominated the GH games. Playing Gimme Shelter together was sooo good. Also loving Ramones, Clash, the Yeah-Yeah-Yeahs, Radiohead, Blondie, Early Police, QOTSA and Garbage.

Stupid question time... Once you have the drums setup, are they easy enough (light and well put together) to just lift and store away in one piece, or do you really need to have somewhere you can leave them out the whole time?

They're light and sturdy enough to move once assembled, but you'll need a little bit of space to put them to one side.

They can be disassembled in about 2 minutes and store very easily.

I just put a 1p piece underneath the piece of tape on each drum pad. Remove the spring and then pull up the tape and pop a penny in the space. Put tape back down and replace spring.

Takes about 5 mins to do all 4 pads and does seem to make the pads better. I still suck though

I just did this guys method. Works wonders, although i used duct tape instead as thats what i only have. I put an extra strip (makes it look like a cross) on the underside of the pad, to keep it more secure.

Now i know, that whenever my combo mucks up its down to me.

The RockBand Guitar is really hurting me because the strum isn't as easy as GH's I may have to sell it.........

I re did mine following that method and it is so much better. Managed to almost 5 star a song where as before I couldn't manage to get 4 stars

I find the effects switch on the guitar really annoyingly placed, I have to leave it on None at all times or it gets in the way. I tend to keep pausing during the game too (on guitar and drums!).

Getting used to the new guitar now, and have almost managed to 5-star Muse on Expert. I can do most of it ok but the final section always gets me (which is weird because it is the same as the section before!). Haven't started the solo career for Guitar yet but I'm surprised they've put Muse as much harder than The Hives, which I find extremely tough. Typical Harmonix random difficulties I guess?

I've got a character for Solo Drums career, can I use the same guy for the singing and guitar?
