I love the game, but I hated the guitar thankfully I sold it on ebay for a decent price. The strum was cramping my hand up, Toy-like GH guitar all the way!

Has anyone downloaded The Cars album? I intend to once I trade some stuff in and get some points as I quite like The Cars early stuff and 'Just What I Needed' is a classic song. Hopefully this bodes well for more US new wave stuff like Talking Heads and even The Modern Lovers.

        Or Marquee Moon!

I don't really know the Cars, so I've not bothered with it. Apparently the drum parts aren't too hard either.

I've just beaten GGaHT on medium drums, and my leg has died. I started off really well with the RY/YO switching bit, but as soon as the bass note got slightly out of time it was really hard to recover it without my hands going wrong too, but I made it, after failing at 88% the first time. I got a lower score than I got on easy though. I must say, having overdrive stored up really helped, as it meant that there was loads of gaps in the drumming for a quick recover, didn't actually bother activating it until I was in deep trouble! Does it get much harder than that on normal?

Some of Don't Fear the Reaper is quite difficult too, and Run to the Hills could be if you don't like funny bass pedal bits.

Was gonna buy this but the price has simpley depressed me. Is it worth just buying the game on its own and playing all the tracks using the guitar from GH III, then when I'm bored buying the drums at a later date?

Indeed it is, if you like guitar hero then having all these new tracks/new looks is gonna be lots to play with. You can do the singing with the 360 Mic or any USB mic also. At a later date if you fancy the drums you can pick them up.

They're the lightest of the American New Wave groups of the late seventies (Blondie, Talking Heads, Television etc) but they can knock out a good tune and don't have the arty pretensions of the other groups (more of a straight rock 'n roll band).

The first album is completely different to 'Drive', which is most people's experience of The Cars in the UK.

in the end i couldnt justify full price for this game (even with wifes 20% discount) so ive just bought the game, drums, and use my gh3 guitar and ive just bought a ps2 game called rock da mic which came with a usb mic for ?3 at game and it works perfect

Anyone figured out how to play bass in the solo mode? I can't figure it out for the life of me.

There's no Bass solo tour, quite dissapointing really.

Ah, the bass leaderboard was leading me astray. Well at least I can stop looking for it now

Just got 100% notes hit on Expert drums.

Okay, it was on Beetlebum, which is possibly the easiest song to do on Expert drums, but it still felt good.

got my drum pads thru from the states, you put a big coloured one down then a slightly smaller black one to give you a double thickness pad.

doesn't seem to have any negative impact and does quieten them down quite a bit, but not totally.

The Bass Pedal makes quite a bit of sound too...are the custom ones (real pedals) any quieter?
