I think the difficulty is much more balanced than say guitar hero 3. I've up to the same tier as rmoxon on hard drums and only a couple of songs gave me any trouble. One particular section of reptilia to be precise.

This tier already seems a step up though. It's much easier if you can to practice a hard drums song with a friend so they can save you and you haven't got to worry about conserving star power so much. Helps me concentrate on just learning the patterns

You've got some fun to come mate!! I'm up to the last set of songs on hard now, but it took some effort to get there. Go with the Flow and Don't Fear the Reaper were the ones that stood out - rock hard.

I've also started expert drums - 1st 4 songs were ok ish, but In Bloom nailed me! The fast double bass hits in Creep were a bit beyond me too.

The great thing about this is that you can feel a bit of improvement every time you play it.

I can't do one song on drums on hard. Very hard. The Police one, can't remember the name but I have done all the rest. Killing me. Anyone got any tips?

In other news, playing expert really helps you "see" the drum beats, just how Guitar became natural after a while (for a non guitarist) the drums are following suit.

        I consistently enjoy this game

I agree with Sharky - you really do see improvement and it is encouraging to do so! A proper learning curve. GH:OT - take note.

Yep you can feel yourself learning and getting better with every single go on drums. For me its very steep Im in a wheelchair cant even pick my feet up with my legs (best I can do is move my feet up and down with ankle so can thankfully do pedal) and I went from not even being able to do a single drum song at xmas on PS3 due to serious health to trying when I got it on 360 and thinking never on easy to where I was yesterday starting hard for first time and even doing the 1st 5 songs (ok 3 stars but thats something for me). The doubles are killing my foot though so Im taking a break for a few days after me marathon sessions (I did 130 drum songs pretty much in one day this week on easy lol).

I remember first time I went to medium on Tuesday got to Garbage Paraniod and the red yellow and kick I couldnt get my brain around thought Id never do em then went to bed next day did em after two more goes. Only failed one song on medium went back and redid it and was fine (think it was fear the reaper). Weird thing is Im having a harder time stepping up to hard guitar from medium due to my fingers not being able to strum very fast.

Fantastic game and cant wait for RB2. Gimmie some Floyd though pleaaaaaaaaaaase and full Faith no more Epic album.

Regarding GH3 I just dont like it. GH1 & 2 love em can do medium all fine but 3 is all over the place and I cant even do the 2nd head to head. Notes seem way off compared to 1 & 2 like someone just shoved em in for the hell of it sometimes. Still got my eye on GH4 drums though just hope the actual game is better.

RB has still kept me off MGS4

I'd rather have Angel Dust more than The Real Thing myself, trying to Sing Jizzlobber would probabaly be an experience.

Having said that Faith No More are my favoprite band ever, so id just do anything for more of there songs of any kind really.

I'm on the fear the reaper tier now and while I managed that one cherub rock killed me straight away (this is hard drums btw)

Still as has been said before, they all seem achieveable

Both awesome songs. You just get it eventually, unlike the damn Police one...

was only posting here the other day asking for some Offspring and to quote Beavis and Butthead i guess fairies grant wishes as its shown up on the DLC this week.

its a new track called Hammerhead and is one of their longer multipart efforts rather than the shorter Califonia does Quo numbers, its really rather good, even on easy there are some nice drum patterns.

Couldn't agree more - just a far better album with great parts that would really work in Rockband. Mike Patten's voice is so much less annoying on Angel Dust too!

Some tunes off King for a Day would be good, like Ricochet or Digging the Grave.

Whats everyones most wanted DLC requests then?

Im really hoping Nirvanas - Nevermind album appears in the next few weeks given it was touted as being one of the full album downloads ages ago. Outside of that some personal requests from me would be:

                        Muse
Queen (We Will Rock You anyone? )
                        Stereophonics
                        Foo Fighters
                        Smashing Pumpkins
                        Bob Marley

good news, not a bad selection either though to be honest most of their songs sound the same anyway.

                          Coming soon for Rock Band:
?Come Out And Play [Keep ?Em Separated]?
                          ?Self Esteem?
                          ?Gone Away?
                          ?All I Want?
?Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)?
                          &
                          ?The Kids Aren?t Alright

                            - Anything by Tool, but Lateralus would be the best rockband track ever.
                            - Blood Sugar Sex Magik by The Peppers.
                            - Anything by Cecil, although no one will have heard of them so no chance!

now Vicarious or Sobre by tool would be amazing, plus I'd love some more Serj Tankian or System of a Down.

Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode (not under any circs johnny cash) would be rather good as well.

I'd have to go out on a limb and pick Fragile Dreams by Anathema (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP6_I...eature=related). I just love the way it has so many peeks and troughs. Great song.
