How long are the cables, never had Singstar but am very tempted.

The only thing putting me off is the wired mic's and in about a months time Sony bringing out wireless ones.

The cables are very long, more than long enough. I wouldn't get put off by the mics to be honest, they really aren't a problem.

How extensive Singstar online store is? And is there regional song releases?

On release day yesterday there were 41 songs available to buy. I recall seeing somewhere they aim to have 300 songs available by the end of the month/year?

I was wondering myself about regional song releases especially after hearing the game was delayed outside of the EU because of copywrite issues.

Some of the artists (that I can remember) available to buy are :

• Manic Street Preachers (Everything Must Go, A Design For Life)
• James Dean Bradfield (That's No Way To Tell A Lie)
• The Zutons (Stacey Look What You've Done, Why Won't You Give Me Your Love)
• Blur (Duet : Parklife)
• Nena (99 Red Balloons)
• Depeche Mode (Enjoy the Silence , Another track I can't remember)
• Europe (The Final Countdown)
• Spin Doctors (Two Princes)
• Marillion (Kayleigh)
• Wizzard (I Wish it could be Christmas everyday)
• Len (Duet : Steal my sunshine)
• The Dandy Warhols (Bohemian Like You)

There is also a lot of pop music that I can't remember because it's not my kinda music. It is grouped into genres then artists, there are also "bundles" which is empty at the moment and a "duet" section which has Blur and Len in there.

I saw Chinster asking about the artist vocals - I found that setting last night. Just go options, prepherial settings, microphone. You can choose vocal reduction from there, though I prefer to hear the artist myself

You can also choose to put the camera feed up instead of the artist video, I guess that is for getting great photos or if you hate the origional videos!

I still love the Fray (on the store), those piano solos are great!

Another sign of just how big this franchise is...

Went into GameStation today and they had a big glass cabinet set up with loads of the SingStar games!

I had no idea that there was so many of them available!

Got this today, and its a good laugh so far. Not played a singstar game before but I think the presentation of this title is really classy.

The online part seems to be buggered at the moment though, a familiar problem for most PS3 games at the moment!
I bought 3 songs and then the online section seemed to freeze, so I logged out of it and now I can't get back into the online area to download the tunes, very frustrating!
For people who buy a PS3 for this game the current online problems don't give the greatest 1st impressions for the system.
Hopefully, they'll sort it out ASAP as there seems a lot of interesting community features within it.

What i find really sad though, is that there isnt a singleplayer mode, i mean why not give us an careermode or world tour mode a la Rock Band etc..

I want it, but on the other hand i wont be playing it much as theres no singleplayer depth.

A proper career mode would be really good, maybe they could have it as DLC in the future? Although the amount of time they've had making this game they should have it in the game from the start.
