Singstar PS3

The online part seems to be buggered at the moment though, a familiar problem for most PS3 games at the moment!

To be fair it was perfect yesterday, shame it's buggered today.

I was impressed with the streaming of previews, at one point they were so well done I didn't realise they weren't already on the disc!!

As I say, it was working brilliantly yesterday. I checked out the community features and saw Hoolaks..."picture"...

Had a go on the online section this evening. I can see this section being great once more videos get uploaded by users.
Check out the video of 4 guys doing 'pass the dutchie', they're all doing a dance and its hilarious!

I'm definately better at 'singing' the songs I like than the ones I don't though, managed a singstar rating on easy on 'Steal My Sunshine' by Len, top tune!

The tracs are on adv. 77mb each the biggest i got was the Pet shop boys that was 105mb all 4 I queued up are in SD.

SD meaning standard definition? You're saying that you get the song *and* the video for 99p? Fantastic value, puts the price of Guitar Hero song packs to shame. I can't wait until the kids unwrap this one at Christmas.

Can uploaded videos be watched anywhere via a web browser?

Also, is there a disk swap option as in the earlier games so you can sing songs from the different releases?

Nah, only in the game so far it seems. They have a singstar website at www.singstargame.com - hopefully there are plans to do something with that.

Poor poor people......Ive decided to buy it this evening and Im tooooone deaf. Soon as I read its got REM loosing my religion thats sold it for me so Im off to do a Chorlten and the wheelies and picking it up in the leccy cabbage chair from woolys tonight. Im on respite so got to annoy the help :P And yes I have the camera so be prepared to see Father Jack singing drink to it this week hehe.

Yeah, I realise this, and the Singstar games I have do work ok on the PS3. It would have just been nice to either have a way to unlock tracks from the SingStore that you already have on PS2 disks (although I don't know how they would get round people just sharing the disks around), or to be able to swap disks at will without having to reboot completely to access tracks on an earlier release.

Singstar PS3 failed to even chart on latest UK TOP-40. But I wouldn't honestly worry considering that this is something that has been planned to have a very long lifetime, and Singstar Store itself is long-term investment.

Rather than risk cutting your fingers, dice with burning them instead. Take yourself amd the blister pack into the kitchen, light a gas ring on your cooker to low (assuming you have a gas cooker) take a knife with a woden handle preferably from the kitchen drawer and heat the blade for a few seconds.

Cut through the blister pack like a hot knife through plastic.

Well I did Loosing my religion and recorded it. Sounded horrific at first till I put me pub singer on then was actually not THAT bad (still bad though). I cant get online though I get some error message everytime I try to log into the online bit (I hope to god its not region protected as Im on a JPN machine and tried it with UK account). AS my family says though I need a kick in the bollox as I sound about 13 :P

Forgot to add though that the singing is much better than on Rock Band. Yes Rock Band might have a career mode but if your arse at singing you sound even more arse on Rock band (and its harder to setup with delay etc..) Id say Rock band is for the proffesional singer in you.

Singstar for me has a better echo sound and mic makes even a crap singer sound better and looks will be great for parties. Its first time Ive ever been near a singing game since I did a drunken Kareoke 19yrs ago and said never again (me and my m8 did get 3rd but I think its because the boss had done it as we sounded like cats humping more cats) so Im not the best judge of character and it MIGHT be that the Singstar mics are better so will test more tommorow. It might also be that Ive sung Loosing my religion in the bath for years so know it off by heart (and it was the first video I ever saw on MTV spookily enough when we got it and also the first one I fed money to when video boxes came out hehe) but Ive got to admit Singstar has made me enjoy singing with a mic and Im one of those that is petrified to hear their own voice and I forgot I was doing it into the song its just fun and thats what these games are about I guess so thumbs up for them being able to give that feeling.

Just checked the online with my error code and it looks like its the servers what are down not my JPN PS3 causing the problems (Im using a UK account). Anyone know what the online songs are, is their any Depeche Mode?
