wondering if you'll still be able to get the mario kart channel or not.
would be useful as it'll probs cost a bit to send from VG+

Apologies if this has been covered but before I got MK last week I received some MK themed mails on the Wii from friends asking me to register their MK friends code. When the MK channel was installed a link from the mail opened it up and automatically registered the code.
Stupid, I may be but I just can't find any way of sending a mail like that, myself. Any ideas?

Been playing this online a lot over the last few days and I've come to the conclusion that not being able to win through skill alone is a complete myth. I've played quite a few games against people with pretty high scores, one of whom was over 9000 (insert Vegeta joke here) and try as we might, not one player could beat them. It's not as if everyone was crap either the majority of people in one series of races including myself had 7k+ scores.

Quite enjoying this now I've played it a bit more. Quick couple of questions, seeing as my instructions are in Japanese and I can't work these out - can you avoid the POW block when someone uses it, and also how on earth do you do the trick things in the air (spinning round etc)? Using the classic controller currently, if that has any impact on the answers.

As for avoiding the POW, i posted how to do it a page or two back. It took me awhile to work it out, all you need to do is shake the wiimote/wheel when the POW block gets to its smallest. You won't avoid it entirely you will also lose the weapon your holding. If done correctly you will gain a flutter of blue light under yourself or lose a huge amount of speed, where as everyone else is slowed right down.
As for stunts, just shake the wheel or wiimote just before a jump. You can also do wheelies this way on the bikes.Last edited by SuperBeatBoy; 22-04-2008, 00:22.

another thing i dont get about this game is why nintendo decided to put bikes in there. the fact that you can actually get faster time trials times on the bikes has made the karts redundant?...this is a karting game aint it?
and just a question to you all , but have you noticed that if you dont use the wheel you seem to score less points in the online races? ive been in some first and second places but those in 5th and 6th have got more points due to them using the wheel...thats just stupid, it gives you a choice but rewards the wheel users with more points?
i keep finding flaws with this game haha
