Same here, I've a US wii and it has me listed in New York. Whenever i race Globally it mostly matches in Europe, so I'm guessing it does it by ping. Which is nice

I think it's as much to do also with who is on at the time you are racing... if I go global at say 1am I usually get Americans also looking globally, with the occasional Japanese and European player. Regional obviously coughs up tons of Yanks at that time.

Hurrah! Golden Wheel get! Though I can't beleive it, on the very same match where i finally earned the golden wheel I've spotted a guy wwith three stars by his name. Now that is hard core. I remember the blood sweat and tears it took me to get one star by my name on the DS MK!

I watched a Mario Kart Wii match on Xleague TV last night (or Pulse as it's now ridiculously called) and the game looks ace. Made me miss my Wii for the first time since selling it some months ago.

Impressive! I have been working up through the cc's making sure i get gold on each before i move on, haven't even got to 150cc yet, though i have only had two sessions so far. Only accrued a star ranking on a couple currently. Once I'm allowed to

i'll probably have a better shot at cutting down on those times enough to get stars...

Downloaded Mario Kart 64 earlier and its by far the better game. Its still a blast to play and the courses are better, with numerous shortcuts.

As much as i like MK wii, im probably going to sell it and dedicate my time to 64.

I agree, ive been playing MK64 a fair bit of late...trying to improve my TT's

the mini turbo's in mk 64 are so much better as you can do them at any time and as quick/slow as you want

Unlocked all expert ghosts the other day and it didn't give me the final unlockable
Anyone else come across this problem yet?
I've used the wheel solely but not beaten any of the experts yet if thats any help in deciphering this madness.

Phew! Just got onto the 150cc races on my third sitting. Toad is getting royally smashed about and I'm not having much luck. What character and kart combinations did you use in 150cc and beyond?

I used Mario and the bike. I couldn't go back to the Karts after i unlocked it, I still think it should be called Mario Bike Wii. I did all the Mirror Cups an all.

I normally use Koopa Troopa (or Dry Bones) on the standard bike, however, as the AI likes to play rough and sending you over the edges, I changed to Bowser on std bike for the last two cups. Seeing the computer drivers repelled when trying to tackle you from sides or behind is very satisfactory.

I used the Mach Bike i think. The one with the better top speed that allows drifts.

I like the Mach bike. You can get out of all sorts of trouble with it, with the real tight drift it has.
