Yeh I find it strange they've taken the Race Driver series in a more arcade direction but turning off the assists makes it play for more sim and thats alright by me.

Even on the basis of this demo I am ready and waiting to purchase the full game. Its a rare thing for a demo to impress me enough to warrant a purchase so thats saying something.

Excellent, thats EXACTLY what I've felt about quite a few games and never been able to pin it down (when the handling just never feels comfortable). The cars just feel to lack any weight don't they? I remember being able to anticipate perfectly what my car would do on MSR (I've played that a lot more than any of the PGR games) and as a result was able to push things a lot more.

I really enjoyed GRID, but it did feel a bit unpredictable.

For me this is miles better with aids off, doesnt feel right with em on (and pro mode on with headcam locked). I dont feel what some of you guys are feeling as I know where the limit is etc... on it in cockpit. Its def more arcade than PGR but that doesnt bother me and I prefer PGR and this to Forzas driving on ice rubbish.

I do have much more difficulty with drifting in this game than I do in PGR though. But the drifting starts to grow on me, its pretty cool to make a good slide and some Perfect 20k is popping up.

The gripe I too have with this game is that like in DIRT, the cars feel like they are featherweight. The braking is better than in last game, its not going from 100 to zero in 1 second.

Overall I will still pick it up right away, the experience and all the shaking is just very intense.

              Gotta love the internet!

PS3 GRID compared to PS3 GRID. PS3 GRID loses
              .

a second go on this confirmed my first impression. car physics are simply not in place - it comes close to playing Pole Position or Super Sprint. it's a shame, i was really looking forward to a new, even better "Les Mans 24h"

I personally couldnt stand DIRT, was abig CMRally fan since the very first one on PC and thought new one was a horrifiic framey mess with a butchered piece of handling, Im just pleased GRID didnt go the same way with the engine

the same vid as this, I guess? http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=uFF-vCGahmU&eurl

Gametrailers were obviously doing this for ages (RGB Limited is something they must know about), but now there is 100% proof that they are corrupt.

So, thats 2 on the list?

Codemasters should be very happy with this gaff. It has given the game some publicity that the best PR couldn't orchestrate.

Some more Codemasters publicity, fresh from one of their own employee's ?

So bad it's funny GT5P vs GRID comparison video

Works for me. It's just some slow GT5 cars going slowly, sim style, with no damage during crashes. Cut to mega fast Grid arcade stuff with cars rolling and bits flying off everywhere.

I tried GT5 at the weekend and was pleasantly surprised it was loads more fun than GT4, although much of that might have been down to the trigger controls.

Anyway, back on topic, some of the stuff in the promotional vids for Grid does look really good, so the demo hasn't put me off completely. Looking forward to the full game first play and review.
