While this is good news and all, with no release date for the patch what about those who have just gotten into the game?

I'm enjoying indeed (bought it after playing the demo, first game in a while to make me question other peoples opinons) plus I got passed the driving section first go!

    Love that soundtrack too!

Ok nearly finished this game now, I really like this game (whats wrong with me!) infact I'm even tempted to get the Ps2 version.

What bothers me about all the haters is, yes the controls are poor but the actual game is good!

Hopefully the patch will sort this out, if you can get this game cheap buy it!

Btw I can't be the only one to think that the driving in this game is totally fine...........am I?

I don't work for Eden game either

I still think that there were plenty of very cool and original features in the game and I enjoyed almost all of it up until the end.

          Necro post!

Just finished this a moment ago, had it on rental from LoveFilm, and yeah I thought it was a great game right up until the bloody ending...I mean..what the **** was that supposed to be? "I'm used to it" >_<

Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Did the 360 version of this ever get a patch to make it good?

If so I might play it again. Otherwise I'll leave it propping up the dining room table.

It was the 360 version that I played, what was the problem before?

Bugs, glitches, lack of checkpoints in driving levels, broken inventory system, terrible camera, irritating combat.

360 was never patched. I think it was a combination of it not being worth it after the PS3 version didn't shift and the patch would've been huge.

The PS3 version fixed (or tried too) pretty much everything really (as that is what was wrong with the 360 version).

Still wasnt great though, as even fudementaly its just not a very good game.

I actually bought this a week or so back,on the £360. Was £4.something. Wish I had gone to KFC instead.

I've been playing through it recently. I've done the levels that make most people want to kill their mothers (driving) but I've lost the will to get much further, and I haven't even started on the roots of evil yet.

I wish I hadn't even clicked this thread, I'd wondered why it was suddenly getting attention...then I saw anephric's posts regarding the driving, the shakes have come back, I need to go and lie down.

                        I'd almost forgotten too.

I just got this on 360, for a fiver. Just finished the first 'episode', not got to the driving sections yet. Despite the fiddly transition between 1st and 3rd person, with some annoying floatiness in the latter style, I'm quite enjoying it - it's propelling me nicely along in a way that many games don't seem to manage.

Yeah, it's not the best game ever but there's something cool about it, and it's always keeping you on your toes (well, it is so far).

Just wait til you do the first driving level. I was thinking the same as you until then, and pretty much all of my goodwill evaporated in a puff of WTFness.

^You may very well be right. Am currently trapped in a multistorey car park after the first driving bit, cars be handling like old PS1 Luxoflux games, which isn't particularly satisfying, but just about bearable. Smashed through some barriers, car's wrecked, and my escortees (an old man reminiscent of Max Von Sydow and a generic young brunette lass) are holed up in a room with a cracked door and virtually no walls, and I'm just wandering aimlessly, alone in the dark, flailing about for some object that will allow me to access the next section, and I've been stuck for about twenty unsatisfactory minutes, it's too friggin' dark. None of those supernatural zombies about in this bit, but I just turned my 360 off, which says something. I think I will persevere, however, 'think' being the operative word.

I bought AITD a couple of months ago and actually quite enjoy the game so far. I have only played it a few times and have reached the end of the first episode so haven't experienced the driving sections yet.

I find it easy to play although it does take a little getting used to switching between 1st and 3rd person views but it does add the need to think around certain tasks and what mode is best for them. I really like how things unfold in front of you without having cut scenes interrupt play, it feels like you are in a movie and can be very dramatic. I agree that it can be very dark but I only play survival horror games in a darkened room or at night which helps a great deal. The fighting mechanics can be awkward though, it plays like the Buffy games on the old xbox which were so annoying as it was difficult to make a proper hit.
